That $5 promo was pretty awesome last year (made even better by the fact that I got an achievement that won me a game from the gift pile with the game I spent the $5 on), and Amazon's sales have only gotten better since. Looking forward to finding some dirt cheap deals. :)

No I don't think so. To be honest I would think they know people outside the US are buying their games. I've bought many Digital download games from them and never had any trouble. I use a credit card btw.

It may be against Amazon ToS, but I think you're going far to say using an American address as your shipping address is illegal. It could easily be a hotel you are staying at (as how I did it). I just "forgot" to change it. Illegal? Come on...

It isn't just against Amazon's Terms of Service, you are obligated to pay duty and VAT of your country, in Italy and others countries you have to pay even a special copyright related fee for games, music, books, removable media, hard disks, and so on.

You don't pay VAT of your country in this way, if Amazon thinks you are in US territory, it will not pay VAT to your state, but to the state of the specified address.
