Inventory checking is NOT impossible. It will just show up as not being there if the person has their inventory closed. See tf2outpost.com. On that note, a 'thank you' button would be much nicer than a few hundred posts on every page that say 'thank you;' this way we could actually have conversations in the comments. Who would have thought it possible?

On thing I'd love though is for a way to enter the key when creating such a giveaway, so the winner could just get it directly from the site. I've been running after the winner of one of my giveaway for almost a week and he still hasn't used the key I sent him and he's ignoring me in Steam chat when I try to check with him if he has gotten the email.

I'm not sure why everybody thinks there are tons of fakes.
I can't imagine that more than maybe 2% of giveaways are fake. And most of those get deleted before they even finish.

We are not ignoring the solution. CD-keys only complicate the suggestion, among other things, such as allowing members to retain their privacy. Having the site scan your inventory once a week or force you to make both your profile and inventory public, both separate options, once every seven days would be a nuisance to many of our members.

Referring to the other thread on how to handle this suggestion, we do not want to force members to only submit giftable copies as their first giveaways. If a member wants their first giveaway to be a CD-key from GreenManGaming or Amazon, we will not force them to "work up" to that point.
