Hello. Probably like 1749237639357209 people have seen my topics about buying new PC and phone, but this time it's serious. My current phone has served me really well for the last 3 years, but now it won't receive every call, so I've had some trouble because of that. So, now about the phone. My budget is like 300€ and I'd like to have at least 2 GB of RAM, a good GPU and a good CPU. FullHD resolution isn't needed, but it would be nice to have. The phone must be available to purchase in Estonia (There are reasons...). At the moment I'm thinking about Nexus 5 (Well, LG G2 is pretty similar to it, but I don't like the design and the UI of it). What should I buy? If You're willing to do some research, then I'd be really thankful :)

P.S. Did the HumbleBundle with Terraria in it include an Android version of the game?

Edit: I want an Android phone!

Nexus 5 is an awesome phone, i have it myself. I don't know if you can buy it in your country, but today you could get the oneplus one (normally you need an invite to buy it).

One plus one costs less than 300 € and for the black friday you can buy it without invitation.

I've heard a lot of complaints about the customer support for the OnePlus One, so you might want to check on that if you're planning on getting one.

Get the OnePlus One if you can. Today they're actually selling directly without invitations, though don't know if they still have stock.

And glad you can't. They might be cheap but they're full of bugs and die prettily easy.

Would have said OnePlus One, but since you said you can't get it, take the next best thing: NEXUS 5
You might want to look into Xiaomi or ZTE phones, no idea if available in Estonia, though.

Hello,

I have a nice phone Cat B25 :)
I played football with it, used like a hummer, made 2 ultra marathons, open beer bottles and many more!!!
Battery life ~1 week in town 3-4 days on mountain trip depends on the level difference.
If you drop it DONT be afraid of the phone be afraid of what is UNDER IT!

A good day!

I got an Xperia Z3 Compact for like 330 euro. Very good performance, insane battery life and perfect size, at least for me.
Next year, late January I think, we'll receive Lollipop too.

Great phone! If you find it at a good price, buy it!

OnePlus One is available for purchase without invitation for a couple of days. Fits your budget and it's a great phone.
Nexus 5 is a good option as well.
If you want to save some money, there are some good offers on Samsung's S3 Neo and Motorola's Moto G.

i had that same exact phone, loved it! it was really customizable and had a lot of games. The only problem was the memory of course. And that you can't use Wi-Fi which is dumb lol

Comment has been collapsed.

Yea! It's awesome and has a better touch screen than many smartphones. And yep, right now I have 16.2 MB free space in my phone and 282.6 MB free space on my SD card. Sadly, yes, it doesn't have WiFi :(

what i loved of that phone was the screen, it has a ridicously good resolution (640x480) and i was able to watch videos in a really good definition. And i was actually surprised that it even supported my 16gb SD card, lol. The wi-fi part really killed the phone, and where i live, the 3g network sucks so bad that made the phone almost impossible to connect.

OnePlus One. 299€, 320ish$. Best phone on the market looking at the price/quality ratio. I ordered one yesterday. You need an invitation to buy it, but it will be available to buy without one on black friday(TODAY!!). (America only tho). I bought one with an invite that I bought of a friend with 5€. I bought the 64GB version and with shippings to Finland, it cost me €323.99. This phone that is called Flagship killer is really damn good. PLEASE look more into this phone and consider it seriously.

Best qualities of the phone:

3.1A battery, it is INSANELY LONG LASTING! My friend said that it easily will last for 2 days in normal use.

4k pictures and video. Slow motion video with 120fps up to 720p. Comes with dual flash.

Snapdragon processor, 1.85ghz and 3GB of ram. Just 1GB less than my laptop has! The specs in general are freaking awesome.

Some info if you're a modder: OnePlus One will come with a preinstalled CyanogenMod 11s. The phone is almost completely customisable and root and overclock is just one app away. The phone's warranty will NOT be voided if you root it, so great news for all you modders! The phone has been promised updates for atleast the next 2 years. Android 5.0 Lollipop will be released on this phone. As a modder myself, this is heaven.

Ps. You can buy invites from ebay or such. Or then if you can find a friendly soul kind enough to give you one.

I ordered one yesterday. It should be shipped inside 2 days. The warehouse is located in the UK, so it will depend on your location and country.

Motorola Moto G 4G I'd say. It's the one from last year, around $200 and a very good phone with a minimum of crapware added to it (almost clean Kitkat install)

Well, Nexus 5 is stronger, costs 300€ (Yea, I know it's more) and doesn't have any crapware at all. I also has Android 5.0 Lollipop :)

Ok for some reason you don't like the lg's ui, but the g2 > nexus 5

Buy g2 -> root it -> flash a cool rom (so you can change ui and a lot of stuff) -> keep your warranty as it is lg -> ??? -> profit

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

And I don't like the overall design of it (The big LG logo on the bottom and the back). And seriously, this doesn't void the warranty? I might consider it then... ;)

I agree with you dat logo .-.

Btw yes lg is the only brand that keeps your warranty after root

You'll get it with both, custom roms will be released for them and... I've the old gnexus, trust me custom roms > official roms.
g2 and nexus5 have both a good devs community so, you'll have good software anyway, but g2 has better hardware :P
