Hey guys I was looking into Minecraft Realms and have a few questions.

1.) Can you run Optifine while on a Realm, or does it have to be 100% vanilla?
2.) Can you have Bukkit plug-ins to add like /tp and /msg (username), or does it have to be 100% vanilla?
3.) What is the name of tl
e add-on that adds variations in mob appearances an can you run it, or does it have to be 100% vanilla?

Thanks for your help in advance. I know that Minecraft is not a steam game, but I have had great results when using this forum :).

UPDATE Can you run Too Many Items or Not Enough items or no?

Optifine, TMI, and NEI should work just fine because they're clientside mods.

I think Optifine is the mod that does the mob variation as well, assuming your Texturepack supports it, I could be wrong on that one though.

As far as Bukkit goes, last I read, Minecraft Realms are Vanilla only, but I could be wrong cause it's been a couple months since I've looked into it.

As of a quick check of the faq for minecraft realms it says it does not support modding.

I saw that too that's why I posted this thread, to find out about client side mods. Dies that mean it doesn't even support client side?

Client side mods won't be affected because of them being client side. You can use them on unmodded servers because of them only altering stuff in your own client.

Edit: That been said, I know some features of TMI and NEI aren't usable on vanilla servers because of them requiring some serverside mod stuff. The basics of the mods will be usable though.

I only know how to install those mods with forge how will it effect joining a realm. Is there another way to install the mods?

There's no difference between manually install mods and doing it via Forge. Forge is just more convenient.

If you only have the clientside mods installed, it won't affect joining realms. If you have other mods installed though, you'll have issues. To fix that you'll just need to uninstall any vanilla incompatible mods.
