Do you know if you can wear it if you need actual glasses?

“The Glass design is modular, so you will be able to add frames and lenses that match your prescription,” the Project Glass page says. “We understand how important this is and we’ve been working hard on it. We’re still perfecting the design for prescription frames. Although the frames won’t be ready for the Explorer Edition’s release, hang in there — you can expect to see them later this year.” - Ubergizmo

It's even better than you think. Well, it will be.

Glass runs on Android, so after people hack it just imagine the possibilities they will create for us.

They announced the price for the general consumers already? I thought there was only a preliminary test sale at 1,500.

1 decade ago

I'm talking about that price, this is the only one price we know today. Like i'm saying for now everything about this product is a obvious lie, marketing crap that show you idea, concept, but not the real thing.

In my opnion it is not a need, and is just cooler than things that we already have that would have the same utilities, not saying im against it, on the contrary i would like to have one if they where cheap since it maybe can make things really easier, but i would not buy it if it was too expensive since i can do almost everything it does with other things

No way in hell, Google already taps into peoples personal life to much(Along with Facebook and other wonderful places), fuck Google's surveillance glasses. Also anyone else concerned about the health issues? I mean they say holding a cellphone to your head for a couple minutes might have negative effects, would you guys really want something like this on your head? O_o

Know what would be really really funny but oh so messed up, if your friend is wearing these and you light up a fatty and 30 mins later cops are at your house.

Also old but gold

Only because the radiation comes through the screen omnidirectional. G.Glass, SHOULD work by sending the signals though the outer frame. If this would have an increase in brain cancer though...

Cool. Thanks for keeping me in on the loop. I'm going to sympathize with Hilary here, though. Soon they'll want this to be a chip in your head, and then you wont be able to escape the ads. Conspiracy theory away!

Soon? Doubtful. Brain surgery is still rather tricky. We have yet to master cybernetic technology for more routine limb replacements, much even think of being able to integrate a microchip with neural pathways.
