The difference is marginal, but it does seem to be a consistent issue. Personally, I still think everyone is better off waiting for the actual exclusives to come out. Buying a console based on future promises is foolish, and the price of the console will only go down.
With the right combination of coupons and discounts, I could've gotten a PS4 Destiny bundle for $377, but its really hard to justify that much money considering how many PS3/360 games I still need to make a serious attempt at. If you include PC games, we'd be halfway to PS5/Xbox "The Ocho" by the time I finished that load.

I don't have neither a Ps4 nor a Xbox, I'm actually waiting until MGSV and Kingdom Hearts 3 hit the shelves to buy a Ps4, and I hope they'd have lowered the price by then. They're not exclusives, but the only Xbox exclusive that caught my attention was Dead Rising 3, and normally I like Sony exclusives better. Now that Bloodborne is coming out the decission is easier. Also, I'm still hoping they'll release a new Jak and Daxter.

A new Jak & Daxter would be amazing. The first game was ok, but the 2nd and 3rd were terrific.
DR3 is coming to PC, as is MGS V. Kingdom Hearts III will almost certainly be released on PC, albeit probably after a six month delay.
Sometimes I actually prefer to just get the games on console, though. That way, I can just lend the copies to my brothers, and I can always re-sell the used copy. Of course, I usually wait to buy console copies until they're like $20.

Don't forget about the new ratchet and clank game (i think that one will be coming out on PS4 only).
I don't think KH3 will come out on PC because its the series that's a Sony exclusive (not including spin-off games)

Well, the R&C game is actually a reboot, so I have pretty mixed feelings about it. I'll still play it, because I love R&C, but I'll do so begrudgingly.
KH3 is coming out of Xbox Juan and PS3, so its pretty unlikely that it'll stay on consoles. Considering how easy it seems to be to port it from the new gen consoles, its a no-brainer for third party publishers to put it on PC, too.
I like the family sharing a lot, but there's a number of games that aren't available to be shared. Plus, one of my brother's has given up on PC gaming, while the other only has a laptop. Perfectly suitable for a lot of games, but nothing too taxing.
In the end, I've always found it best to have both PC & at least one console. More options is always a better thing.

DR3 is already on pc, I said it as another reason to not get a Xbox for me since the only exclusive I liked isn't an exclusive anymore. And yes, I'm mostly a console guy too, I love the feeling of going to the store and coming back home with all the excitement instead of just buying it and waiting for it to download, and also I love having the phsycal copy of the games I love.

I vote PC just like everyone else, but if you really want a vote between xbox one and PS4 then I say PS4, so far it has better exclusives and its online is still somewhat free. but this is only my opinion so yeah

The people who said PS4 are obviously brainwashed idiots who spend too much time online in comment sections and forums instead of actually playing games. The PS4 has slightly better specs but Xbox has better exclusive games and has better app support, the PS4 doesn't even have YouTube support a year later. If you want better graphics you're already a PC gamer so why would which console has better graphics matter when neither compare to PC.

You can't really call another persons taste in games better or worse. It all comes down to personal preference. Well with the exception of some driving games and re-releases, there aren't any interesting games as of right now that would make you go "I NEED to buy a "next" gen console". And i'm talking about both Xbone and PS4. With that said he should do what everyone buying a gaming console should do. Look at released games and upcoming games on both consoles and decide what console has better exclusives for his taste in games.

I've saved some tuppence and have decided to get myself a little gift this coming Christmas, but I need some opinions on which next gen console I should get. PS4 or XB1?
I would love to play The Master Chief Collection on the XB1. Halo was a huge part of my gaming life. Also XB1 has Sunset Overdrive which looks really neat. Project Spark looks cool too.
On the other hand PS4 has Little Big Planet 3 which I am really excited about (I know it's coming to PS3 I don't own a PS3 or want one.) Also PS4 has the Last of Us Remastered edition which I'd really like to play.
