Not exactly a great definition of favourite if you can't remember her name.

she sucks, total incompetent, always picking exactly the worst solution to any problem she finds. it was all down hill after she stole that army(the sole awesome thing she ever did or will ever do without cocking it up or crying)

She is 13, it's enough for being 13, LOL.

nope. if you can't conquer responsibly you shouldn't be doing it in the first place, too many people die to say "doing all right for a child what'd you expect"

"blablabla im but a young girl innocent of war look at my tits while i ignore your advice as an adviser i personally chose and instead get everybody killed by being wishywashy"
bariston should have taken the cushions on the throne as an early warning sign that she didn't understand how to be ready but bro was so desperate for a king to mindlessly serve he didn't want to see

She's not 13. Read the damn books.

I have read all the damn books and yes, it's 13 at the book 1, fellow. But Aegon Targaryen is the true king.

13 at the beginning, but hasn't it been years since then? travel takes a pretty good chunk of time so it doesn't always seem it but

She's like 16 during ADWD I think.

She's 13 at the wedding to Khal Drogo. Events are not contemporaneous-meaning that what happens in Westeros during the same book happens much earlier in Esos. We know this because Ned and the small council only learn of the marriage long after arriving in King's Landing. The wedding chapter is the 3rd in GOT, and the voyage from Winterfell to King's Landing is at least half a year. Its safe to assume that for most of the events in GOT or the 1st season, Danaerys is 14 or 15. By the time she's in Slaver's Bay, she's likely 17.

I've read all the books, didn't watch the tv serie, thyrion is my favorite followed by the stark daughter that goes over seas. I have resold those books thought, not something i would read a second time and not enough space for my already overfilled library.

Oh i am well over 18 ( sigh ), i actually watched the first 2 episodes and just estimated it was not worth my time. I'd rather read another book instead. I already know the story which is obviously better in the books than in the tv shows and i know how boobs look like, so if i take those two things out i just don't see any reason to watch it.

Impossible to chose just one. There are way too many characters and each has their own features

Dolorous Edd - Best supporting character ever.

Stannis - most respectable dude.

Strong Belwas - cool guy

Littlefinger - really clever dude...especially after some events that weren't yet shown on the tv serie.

Tyrion - no need to say why i like him.

Oberyn Martell - i'll avoid spoilers

New character - The name itself it would be a spoiler...

Jon is okay, daenerys is getting annoying...

!Small Spoiler!
Eddard 'Ned' Stark
The most righteous and honorable man of the seven kingdoms, murdered by 'a vicious idiot boy king'.

in book 6 he comes back as an evil skeleton. we know there are several running around who can resurrect now, that its possible to be too long gone to come back right and that they lost his body back in book 2(also that if anybody can inspire the kind of loyalty to try and fudge those limits its the starks)

thats martin's endgame, all starks will eventually end up as one happy undead family of monsters with their alignments totally flipped, a plague on the viper-nest that is westros.
deathknight ned will crush all with his mighty honor.

bran and (probably)rikkon are already halfway there with the possession/domination/mindrape of humans and the eating of humans respectively, ayra is going to end up pretty far gone if she stays on this "gift of the death god" path any longer than she already has,
sansa seems very very easy(and almost inevitable) to break, snow is looking to be next in line for a rez probably at the lips of the red witch, stoneheart is bad enough but we know she can pass the flame and have a pretty good idea of what she'd do if she found rob who i must point out has a wolf's head and who knows what that'd do to him, coldhands may or maynot be family...

it has already begun

its all forshadowed heavily in the book. β€œThat is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons death shall rise again; harder, faster, better, stronger"

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Since when does Rickon eat humans?

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

since he went to accidentally live on cannibal island like 3 years ago. bran's cripple dreams and shaggydoo the savage wolf foreshadowed it. also all that about some starks having too much of the wolf blood that keep coming up in the same paragraph as him. next time we see the kid he'll have filed his teeth to points and probably try to bite seaworth.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

He went to Whiteharbor. Bran's "cripple dreams" are where he takes over Summer, not Shaggydog. In fact, we've heard almost nothing about Osha and Rickon since WInterfell was destroyed.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

do you watch the show and didn't read the books? i'm not sure how far along tv is, never could be bothered to watch.

i don't mean the wolf stuff, i mean the crow ones. when he first fell and again when he spent every scene he was conscious for referring to himself as "bran the broken"

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I'm still waiting for Winds of Winter. The show is mediocre- books are great. Still don't see how Rickon is a cannibal though.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

he never got to whiteharbor, he took a ship that grayjoy's mute squire saw wreck on cannibal island.

we haven't seen him actually its all just forshadowing stuff(to a larger degree of leading than jon's parents)
his wolf(which on several occasions was hammered into us were like their owners and later that they literally had a piece of them in their minds) was a wild mess that attacked everybody and recognized only the stark siblings, one of the dreams is about a black wolf tearing out the throat of a unicorn(aka cannibal islander war goat) on a stony beach, another couple i don't remember the specifics of were along the lines of confirming/predicting the location and referring to him as "the savage one", there was lots of stuff. i think there may have been something about it in the warlock visions too.
in the last book it was said flat out for certain he was on the wrecked ship at cannibal island and davos was sent to smuggle him to whiteharbor.

i donno i read it awhile ago so could be wrong

Tyrion, I never really liked him in the books but he's by far the most admirable person in the series

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Hated the show, only watched until the end of the first season or something. Liked the books quite a bit. Ned Stark, even tho he's retarded in all matters of strategy and cunning. Tyrion, because he's Tyrion. Barristan Selmy, because he's a badass. I also love a lot of the characters from the lore, that play no part in the actual books, like Arthur Dayne and Gerold Hightower, just to name a couple.

time travel has been strongly hinted at(pretty much whenever they discuss history, even more so with the new tree thing) they'll come into play soon enough unfortunately

Well GRRM is always looking for ways to delay the series from coming to an end before he dies so i'm sure it will happen. At least it's a filler that i can enjoy, unless he does a piss poor job of it anyway.
