Remove the link to the guy that you say is a scammer, you can't do that.

Hmm I'm sure saying he's a scammer is calling out. If you've been scammed report him to SteamRep, but remove that bit from your post.

But lol, that is pretty weird.

Calling out is against the rules, and will land you in suspension-town. It's dirty, there.

If I remember correctly then changing the computer clock and date while in-game to a future time will add that many hours to your gameplay.

Oh yes saw this too on some phishing account, guy had exactly 300 or 400 hours I think on Street Fighter IV and last played 1970, but it was obvious he just hacked it. So yeah I think ppl do this using, SAM maybe?

btw has nothing to do with Halloween.

You can't hack gameplay time, most certainly not with SAM. It's an epoch bug, nothing more. They are as old as the internet.

It's an époque bug!

Haha, it's the first time my French serves me on a English-speaking website! ^_^

You can "hack" gameplay time with SAM - you start game in SAM and receive hours, apparently starting same game in 20 different SAMs makes it 20 times faster.

But that date of playing - no idea for now. Unless steam takes that kind of dates from your own PC?

I would think it would kick you back with a "this game is already running" error, like it would if you tried to run the game twice through Steam. And even if it didn't, well, I still wouldn't call it hacking. Exploiting, maybe.

Trusting user input in general is just a bad idea. Like I said, it's an epoch bug, most likely some piece of their database got corrupted or just wasn't retrieved correctly and it fell back to the default value.

not the first time i see something like this, it happens allot in sales and even more when those phishing bots add you while they are online and if you accept them late and they are already offline it will show somthing crazy like "last online 1 year ago"
my personal record was 10 year lol, probably old accounts that are offline all that time when go online steam cant handle it xP

It's just "Epoch time" or "Unix Time":
1 January 1970

Read about it here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unix_time

So, it's some computer glitch that set your last played time to 0 or almost 0.
