Description

This is Rathaus Schöneberg Station.

This is the U4 line toward Nollendorfplatz. The Next Station is Bayerischer Platz heading toward Nollendorfplatz Station.
This is the U4 line toward Innsbrucker Platz. The Next Station is Innsbrucker Platz heading toward Innsbrucker Platz Station.

You can leave the station and walk to the east to get to the Rathaus proper.

The station itself at this location is a small building that serves as a bridge as well. Being inside the station is like being in a little glass house looking out. It was an interesting station to check the weather if you'd been underground for a bit.

The first time I came here was on break during my Immersion German course at the University. Me and a couple of friends went randomly on a journey to find some park to drink beer in and skip class for a hour. The classes were 6 hours every day for a month and a half. We got cleared by our teacher (I am not kidding you), that we could get a little tossed so long as we spoke mostly German while doing it. We'd have to come back and tell him about our trip when we showed up late from lunch. All in German of course.

However, this was the first time I entered and explored Rudolph-Wilde Park and found my first free standing Water Closet. Not only did I need to use it, but I didn't have change and it was one of those that required it. But I swear, you could do basically anything in there aside from take a shower or a bath.

Later when I visited in Winter, the pond was completely frozen over. We tried unsuccessfully with larger and larger rocks to put a crack in the ice. We failed, miserably.

I'm not sure what you mean, here. =O

Now what would give you the idea that I'm Dirty-Minded? =O

But no, I just actually have no idea what you're describing. Isn't that just a public toilet? :P

Yup. But they are called Water Closets in other places. :D
But it had a toilet that self cleaned, you could have easily changed your clothes if you needed to as the space was pretty big. The sink seemed to be more modern than most public toilets.. Maybe I should just find a picture of it ;)

Not here in Los Angeles. Most places will let you use their facilities if you need to. They may have them in New York, but I haven't seen them most of the places I've been to (and I've been to about 30 of the states, I think). You just ask to use the Fast food place's bathroom, the restaurants, the super markets, etc....

Indeed, what was even more strange was he was technically against alcohol in his personal life, for religious reasons, but he recognized how alcohol loosened the tongue and dropped inhibitions and could be useful in language learning :D

Hehe well I guess if you can't beat it, learn how to use it to your advantage :P

But people do say the best way to learn a language is to speak it. So I'm sure that just telling people to converse casualy in a language can be just as good, if not better, at teaching people a language :)

Well yes and no.
Yes, you should use a language to really learn it, but without some foundation skills, you're not gonna get as far.
There are finer grammar points that cannot be learned as a second language through pure conversation or context.
The same way those same finer grammar points must be taught to native speakers as well.
We don't just throw native speakers a dictionary and say go at it .... they master the basics pretty much easily, but then to masters the harder stuff, they still have to learn it in school :)
