Deer are the ruminant animals forming the family Cervidae. They are the Artiodactyl, which means that they have hoofs with an even number of toes. Deer live around the world; they are native to all continents except for Australia and Antarctica. There are 50 to 90 types of deer (according to different sources), including the whitetail deer, {Christmas} reindeer (caribou), elk, moose, mule deer, red deer, fallow deer, roe deer, pudú and chital.

It seems that I’m a chital, or axis deer =)
