Fun fact: How to get Uplay to work with Steam

If you download a Uplay game from Steam and don't have Uplay installed yet, you are highly likely to encounter some kind of error because the Uplay provided by Steam is waaaaaaaay to old. So what you need to do is the following:

1. Get Uplay from Ubisoft's official site, and have it installed.
   Go to https://uplay.ubi.com/ and click on "Download Uplay PC". Then, run the program you just downloaded and install Uplay.

2. Make sure you have a Uplay account.
   If you don't have such an account yet, Join the Club by clicking on that giant green button! You will need to enter a bunch of information to have your account set up, so be patient. Otherwise, you may proceed to the next step.

3. Run Uplay and log into your account.
   Once you have Uplay client and your account successfully set up, you can log in. Just launch Uplay, enter your account credential (Uplay account, don't enter your Steam login info), and as long as the Uplay network doesn't hiccup, you should be able to successfully login.

4. Activate your product.
   Let's pretend you have won this beautiful Child of Light from me, then I delivered it to you and you have successfully activated it on your Steam Account. Now open up your Steam client, find this game, under the "LINKS" section find "CD Key". You will see an Item along with it's Product Code, right? Copy that code into clipboard and go to Uplay, then Activate Product (the gamepad button thingy), paste the code there, Activate.

5. Run the game.
   You can start the game either from Steam or Uplay. If you start from Steam, it will invoke Uplay and launch the game; if you start from Uplay, it will launch Steam as well. Whatever DLC you get from Steam will automatically be detected and loaded, so there is no need to activate them separately. Congratulations! Now, tuck yourself in bed, and enjoy the music at start screen for 10 hours!

tldr: Do not use the Uplay downloaded from Steam, it's too old. Get it from Ubisoft instead. You need to find the product code from Steam client and activate it on Uplay. Music is wonderful!

Fun fact 2: This game is "hidden" in Watch_Dogs, another Ubisoft game in 2014

In Watch_Dogs, after Aiden attends Jack's birthday party, he gets indoors and can see Jack playing Child of Light on his tablet. Earlier on, Nicole asked Jack if he is 9 or 10 years old. Child of Light is rated by ESRB as Everyone 10+ because of Fantasy Violence and Use of Alcohol and Tobacco. Thus, the correct age of Jack in Watch_Dogs universe is 10.
