Since 2011, so soon four years.
My brother got a Steam account in 2004. I wasn't really interested in it, so it wasn't until December 2011 I registered, and that was because I got a copy of Fallout New Vegas that required a Steam account. Started using it for real early 2014.

I think i made mine for shits and giggles a while ago, when I was crazy about creating accounts wherever I can. Have spent the past few years trying to close down all the accounts I opened. I only started using it when I got a copy of far cry 3 that was steam only lol, and only became active over the past year or so

Same as me, I threw a FIT I had to make a steam account to play a game I purchased over the counter.
I pretty much hate opening new accounts of anything and usually promptly forget whatever password and or email I used to create it. I'd say 80% of the crap I get "made" to do I forget about, and never do again.
