Hey I wanted to mention that I have the intention of giving it a try but I'm currently busy because I'm also attempting to participate in the advent calendar competition so I'll probably won't have anything to show until two or three weeks from now. Also, is there any issue if I do something themed around trains? I promise I'll make it Christmas-y.

What a super charming concept! You're not giving yourself credit here. I often have an idea here or there, but I'm much better at running with an idea of someone else than coming up with a very unique idea. Whereas my husband and son often have more creative ideas but not the patience/skill to keep working at a drawing.
There's a reason we have "the idea man" in so many industries!

Thanks, the idea crossed my mind yesterday and i wondered what it would look like. Tried it with a free AI, and it produced something beautiful but very cold, so in the end i prefered something imperfect but warmer. There's obviously a way to do it better, but i don't know the prompts. Can't wait to see what your works will look like with a better use of AI (or without if you do without) !

I completely gave up on AI about three months ago after giving it a lot of chances of improving, the results are good at first glance but never quite what you ask it and there's always some weirdness to the whole thing. So I just stopped using it and deleted every image I had generated, a clean cut, and then before I knew it I had to once again scratch that itch of making images by doing them by hand and so far I'm not regretting it at all.
So yeah, AI kinda hijacked my motivation to draw without me noticing by giving me instant gratification, and I realized that I rather take days to make one thing than getting dozens in a few minutes but with zero emotional investment or satisfaction. I've seen other people that managed to apparently integrate AI into their workflow seamlessly but for me it just didn't work at all.

I don't know how people do to get something cool, same than for you it looks all good from afar and then you watch better and there is always something creepy lol. Couldn't advice you on that, just wish you to have fun for your manual drawing, i'll be curious to see the result !

I have how ever decided I would like some art to go along with it to promote it - like a poster
I would like it to be themed around December/holidays and/ or video games - it must say that it runs 1st to 31st December but other than that it's up to you
The prize/payment will be some Steam games I have left over (will talk with winner/ one I choose) - I might choose more than one
First time doing something like this so please ask any question or let me know any suggestions to make it better
