It's not even a tier if it is a single game. They simply charge 4$ for it.

Didn't all games from T1 (5,60$) used to be a Humble 1$ Bundle with The Last Remnant & Murdered: Soul Suspect on top?

Ohhhhhh Fanatical you little rascals :D Scam on!

If you consider the lowest price in Brazil, that's a very expensive bundle.

Ah, Fanatical. 90% of the time they're great. But every once in a while... it's like their regular bundle administrator goes on vacation and the backup decides to get a little crazy.

Ah, Fanatical. 90% of the time they're great.

That's a very interesting take considering the first thing I think about when I hear Fanatical are their Dollar Bundles with ~ 30 quality "games" for just a single buck.

You can also read it as 90% of the time their prices are fair. I think their mystery keys scammer bundler must've set the price for this one.

Fanatical has had some of those, but those types of dollar-type bundles I see more of on a regular basis in IG, Groupees, Bunchakeys, etc.

Ah, Fanatical. 90% of the time they're great.

Even if I ignore what games I already have, I do agree that 90% overstates how often they have good value for their bundles (Real CV > 2.5 * price). I'd say its closer to half their bundles.

Yeah, once in a blue moon they do have some nice higher priced bundles with niche games. It's mostly the fact that they sell mystery keys bundles plus their shovelware paddler phase in the last 2 years that makes them rather dubious to me.

Yeah, how dare they not give amazing games for literally just 3 cents each! :O

I'm not objecting to the price. (Although this is actually hilarious.)
It's mostly the fact that they are notorious shovelware paddlers + they sell mystery keys I have a problem with. If they focused on premium bundles with niche games I'd be completely fine with them.

Oww... you were talking about my jab at the dollar bundles. Well... how about simply not doing those? Problem solved.

The mystery key stuff is pretty much bullshit yeah. Though the first one was pretty alright since I got Call of Duty 2 and CoD 4 and a couple of other good games for a small price compared to actually buying them. The rest got traded.

But personally, I don't care for the dollar bundles. I don't buy them, but I also don't want them to stop. People buy them for a reason. A shitload of games for a non-existent price. Mystery bundles are a scam, which allows for underage gambling. A dollar bundle's just a bundle that you're not interested in. No single person's interests are important enough to just flat out stop providing a subset of customers with products.

Feel free to complain obviously. But asking for poorer clientele to just not be served to is quite extreme.

I assumed the question "But if there is demand why not sell them?" might come up:

To put it simply there is also demand for heroin. Doesn't mean I have to respect heroin dealers for the service to the public they provide.

But asking for poorer clientele to just not be served to is quite extreme.

It's not like people are playing those games anyway. If somebody wants games to play they are always better off buying 3 decent games for 1$ from Humble rather than 33 game shaped objects from Fanatical or GoGo Bundle. All Fanatical does there is enable (and more importantly exploit) obsessive behaviour. Just my 2 cents. (which is coincidentally almost as much as Fanatical prices the games in their $ Bundles)

As one who has bought some of these $1 bundles--and played some of the games in them--I object somewhat to your statement. Yes, these games are not as highly priced as others, but they were what i could afford. I have gotten many dozen hours of enjoyment out of $1-$2 bundles. When I started on steam a bit over 2.5 years ago, these $30-games-for-a-few-bucks were exactly what I was looking for.

Of course, now that I own many of them, I am not interested in buying them again, but I know there are others who love these bundles--because it is what they can afford.

Also, I strongly object to your comparison of these bundles of games to that illegal & dangerous drug.
1) These games are not illegal. 2) These games cause no more harm than many other games, and greatly less harm (perhaps) than others. 3) These games cause no harm to the people around the players, while people who are on illegal drugs sometimes do.
Some of them are fantastic for whiling away the hours when I don't have the brain power to enjoy a complicated game.

Some folks are greatly concerned with leveling up their profile. For this they--in part--need a lot of games. These bundles help these people achieve their desired goal without spending a lot of money.

While I am no longer interested in most of the recent rebundles, it is only because I have acquired--from these bundles--those games that I particularly want. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that there are many people with varied tastes out there, who might greatly enjoy these games while I disliked the same games. Neither are wrong to do so. Also, many of us fit this category.

Now, mystery bundles on the other hand, are usually a huge waste of money for the customer, as there are simply too few better games in those bundles. If you want to make a case for banning those, I won't stand in your way.

Very aptly put!

I lack only the first 3 games, which went on sale for $0.97 on steam recently. 3*$0.97 = $2.91

Unless one is a retro fan, any newcomers would start with the Tomb Raider 2013. Feels like it's a "collectors" price, like if you're old and nostalgic and don't already have the games or only have the newest three big TR titles but not the old ones and want to finish the collection.

LOL. It should be more like $1, $3, $6 at most. The summer heat has clearly already gotten to them.

If that's true, it's probably to make Square Enix's randomly hosted $10 mystery boxes look better.

All the games from first 2 tiers are constantly on sale on Steam for $1, and the GOTY version of TR 2013 also frequently goes on sale for $4.5. You could probably get a way better deal waiting for summer sale.
