Hey my dear meme friends,

so I was wondering if users who create GAs and do not deliver the actual games face any consequences. I am not aware of anyone who lost their account or faced similar punishments. Soooo.. does SG/CG do anything about it? And when?

Thanks in advance!

How? I actually won a game recently but the key is a dupe. I texted the guy but he doesn't do anything about it.

They'll get a "not received" by you if they don't deliver in 7 days. I believe that every "not delivered" permanently removes 1 open giveaway slot forever. So a new user who has 3 slots, doesn't deliver 3 gifts, can't make any new giveaways. If this keeps happening to an experienced user, support realizes they are doing it on purpose and permasuspends them.

You're able to create up to 4,623 additional gifts based on your giveaway feedback.

Assuming the winners mark as Not Received, they will eventually get suspensions of increasing duration.

It seems they will only permanently suspend users if they do it on purpose. If it was a mistake or the key was bad, it's not that big of a deal and really nothing should be done, people make mistakes. If someone keeps doing it a lot, it is up to support to decide when it is a mistake and when it is too much and I'm sure they will eventually ban. I have seen plenty of users get banned for making fake GTA V giveaways to promote a site, it used to happen all the time.

I'm pretty sure users who started their presense on SG were banned in the past. Also, I remeber one guy who intentionally made a lot of fake giveaway because he wanted to get a ban (his wish was granted). Unsure if users with minority of giveaways not delivered get any punishment, probably only mods can answer that.

I bet it does happen but it's just rarely publicized because of rules against calling out other users.

Even if they don't get suspended/banned there is supposedly an automatic punishment towards a user's CV/Level and it lowers the number of giveaways a user can create every time they get "not received" feedback. I'm surprised more high level users don't make thousands of faulty giveaways just because they have the slots to do so and want to troll ;)

That part's incorrect. Nothing happens to their CV/level. What happens is they lose a giveaway slot for every NR they get, and if they get enough NRs, they get suspended and eventually banned.

Edit: See AllTrac's comment above. He nails it.

Not much, no. I once "won" a GA with 60 copies of the game given away. About a dozen people, including me, got mangled keys. Gifter said he was going to solve the problem with the site he got the keys for, after about 3 weeks. Never replied to any attempt to contact him after that.
But he made good on 75% of the wins so... I guess it's ok

Doesn't matter much. Incidents happen. Keys get revoked. Keys get broken. So I won a free game and didn't get it. I didn't pay for it. It's just a fluke. Being upfront about it when you're a gifter is the least you can do though so I didn't appreciate the avoidance. But I'm not asking for his head either. He wasn't trying to scam anyone. Repeat offenders should get banned, imo but accidents happen.

No

I seen users with 11 not delivered games and not thousands of delivered ones on the other side.
The support isn't interested at such people.

The number of not delivered games isn't the only metric that need to be taken into account.

For example, you reported an account that had 26 non-delivered games but you didn't check the reason why. If you had, you would have seen that 25 of these were from the same large giveaway and that the creator had already apologized for the problem with the faulty keys he bought. So while it was 26 not delivered in their profile, it's actually 2 giveaways where there was an issue.

Thanks for the explanation but you have seen that i don't came up with the 26 not delivered GA's guy in my Sentence or ?
You are the first that try to explain something to it. I appreciate that in general but had liked a answer to such ticket questions instead of "half calling me out".

And your "answer" don't say something to people with ~15 GA's and around 10 not delivered and such ones (i can't remember on all reports and i will not look/search for such stuff in the tickets... -sg is far from so important for me... that times are long gone-).

Oh and NONE of my tickets to such people ever leaded to a punsihment or a noticeable consequence for such people.
So my NO as answer to the OPs question still stand that you are on my whitelist don't change something at my thinking to that point, i am sure you can accept and handle that.

You're not the police :P
I'm sure you have better things to do than calling people out, right?

I call someone out ? o_O

You missunderstood something or i don't understand your sentence fully.
Both is possible... it is 4 AM here. Translation skills lower as at normal day times :-D

As you know, comments are disabled on user reports so it's not possible to answer directly on there. That's why I figured I could reply here since it was on topic. I'm sorry if you felt called out over this.

I mentioned that particular case because that's the latest one I investigated. Contrary to popular belief, we do care about people making fake giveaways and not delivering. Fortunately, the limited giveaway slots do weed out most of the bad apples right out of the gate, and we are left with a small number of cases where we need to determine if multiple non-delivered giveaways are the cause of malice or simply the giveaway creators having made a number of honest mistakes.

Sorry i didn't remembered on that 2 weeks old ticket and didn't seen that you solved it today. That explain your reaction special on that one.

And sorry that i am today more sensitive then normal. RL stuff + strong pains. Had nothing to do with you and i overreacted partly.
