I have the Galxy Note 2 and love it, my Wife has the Galaxy S 4 also very Nice.
iphone sucks but i have an iPad >.>

For you i think the S3 is perfect if you want a nice Handy with huge Functions, Lumia is also good but not so good like an S3 but dont buy the mini ;)

I wanted to get HTC One, check it, its really a great phone.

Samsung S3 mini > Nokia Lumia 820 :) Windows phone are shitty and you won't be able to get cool games for it and the file manager its too damn stupid.

If it has to be mini, go with the SGS3 mini

Although i prefer WP8 over Android, if you want to play games you better take Samsung Galaxy S3 mini
