"A place where you can find computer games and softwear with cool discounts"

I'd stay away from it for this alone. They are also selling Steam accounts, as it seems, which is another red flag

Alone selling steamaccounts should lead to a close of this thread and a delete of the link.

And yes, i am aware that you as Junior Mod can't do that.

That the OP changed his name after creating this thread is a bad coincidence

it doesn't even look particularly good, they don't claim to sell New World for 15 bucks but a steam account with New World on it, it could even be legit, just stolen...

Not really, serves as a warning for others.

Nope, it's promotion under the guise of asking a question.

At the very least every reference to the promoted site should be removed.

How will people know the site is a scam if no one talks about the site? This is the same argument as people who think talking about mental health will encourage people to have mental health problems.

Search engines gauge popularity based on incoming links from other sites.

A site that no one links to isn't as easily found as one which is discussed and linked on, on other sites.

You have a point that without the OP providing information about the site, people on steamgifts wouldn't know about its existence.
It goes without question that OP talking about it does give it exposure, and can possibly lead people on steamgifts to go there.
However, the exposure is negative and is a warning for people to stay away.
I think the thread should stay up, because it is more useful for people to know about it and that it is bad, than to not know about it, and potentially find it on their own later and think that it possibly is good.

The information has been provided that this site is bad and disreputable.
If people "accidentally" click on it, they can close the tab.
If people read how bad it is, and still intentionally click it with intent to use the site, then they have committed to going further.
If they intentionally make that commitment despite knowing that the site is bad, then that is on them.
They will have to deal with the consequences of their choices, because they chose to make that choice.
Censoring information to prevent people from being exposed to it is not a good strategy to protect people.
Talking about the information and allowing people to make informed decisions is better than just restricting access to it.
Let people have the freedom to be informed, and then make decisions based on the information they have.

Your opinion is not very popular these days (although I wholeheartedly agree).

You can prove that's true: remove all the relevant information so the link won't promoted by search engines.

That's not exactly promotion unless you want to get really pedantic.

I want to say it so the hater can shut up : this is NOT a promotion. I really want the game, check my wishlist. And i found a deal but sounded too good to be real, I did some research and found nothing. After your answers i give you my conclusion : this site is a SCAM and don;'t ever buy it. If there's a list of scam sites, just add this. Thhank you all for the answers, even the haters. The haters are here and spread hate because if he can't spread goodness the hate is the way he can co-exist.

I didn't hate on you so please don't spread false information or insult me. Thank you very much.

If you don't want to promote the site, then remove the relevant information, including the name and link.

Or at least disable the link, so that no search engine can find it, e. g. to "abc (dot) com". So everyone knows, what site is meant, but can't click directly.

Is better to index a page by a search engine with information that site is a scam.
