First of all, no you dirty minded person, I wasn't lonely on a saturday night.. I fell during snowboarding :(

I broke my wrist last weekend which means that I now have to game with 1 hand for 6 weeks (or more depending on when I get surgery), and on top of that I broke my right wrist so I have to use my left hand to control my mouse :(

Do you guys know of any games that require only 1 hand (keyboard or mouse) that you would recommend? If it's in my library that would be amazing, but if it's a game you just really recommend that I don't have, I might consider it too.

I'm pretty sure I have plenty of games I could play but it takes a while to figure it out.

I'm now just playing Oldschool Runescape all day because that works well with a mouse.

Any help would be appreciated!

Card games, vampire survivor-likes would be your best bet.

As I do every time I see a similar discussion - Slay the Spire. If you can control a mouse you can play it. I assume you can even bind some of the keys to make it playable with one hand on the keyboard but I never tried that. I did play it a lot with mouse only, and it's a fine experience.

Plus if you want to beat A20 you can expect 100s of hours. And I applaud that :)

For a less common suggestion, try Grindstone - also incredibly playable with one hand

Ooh, then play Monster Train. It is already in your library and awesome. I say this as a fan of Slay the Spire.

(Someone here on SG kindly gave me that game. Have played it a lot)

I will say one finger death punch games, both 1 and 2 can be played with one hand (I just noticed you already played both a while, might be time to jump back to it)

Heyo fellow steam friend ;)
I will echo others for a bit, a game i absolutely LOVE is Balatro. You just need a hand to play.
Also, most turn based and card games. One i started today (I love it!) that works with mouse (Mostly?) is Fights In Tight Spaces. Its about a cool james bond like agency taking out some criminal groups, its a roguelite turn based deckbuilder! :)
Hope you get well soon šŸ™‚

EDIT : I think Wildfrost can be played fully on mouse, also pretty much ANY Vamp Survivors clone works since you just move and most of thoose games have autoaim, one i personally like more than the others is Brotato. Another genre i would like to add is point and click games, you can play all of them with one hand. Enjoy and have fun

Its pretty satisfying tho when you hit cool multipliers, you are welcome!

I have a whole list of one one-hand friendly games:

https://store.steampowered.com/curator/42956114-one-handed-gaming/

Most are puzzle games. Some are action games. Use a controller with two bumpers (ie switch style) and you can map the upper and lower bumper to whatever the main action button is in games. Some side scrollers just need two buttons, like super win the game.

As someone who's dealt with a hand injury myself, I know how frustrating it is to try playing first-person shooters one-handed (I even tried binding W to the right mouse button - not great). I wouldn't recommend going that route.
From the games you already own, here are four I’ve personally played and really enjoyed, they all work well with one hand:

Punch Club
Anomaly: Warzone Earth
RADical ROACH Remastered
Aces & Adventures

Wishing you a smooth and speedy recovery, take care🧔

Snowboarding in August? Press X to doubt.
anywho I was lonely on a saturday night and on top of that in the past <12 months I've already manged to go through burnt hand and broken arm, leaving me to game with one hand only for weeks. Granted - the broken arm was convenient enough that lass than a month in I figured that my fingers are fine and I can still somewhat hold things depite the whole arm being immobilised and switch joycons can be split apart and used on PC with hardly any hassle thus almost anything with any controller support became playable. Now for the burnt hand - that was more toublesome as I had burns on my fingers so using anything was a big no no - keyboard, controllers nothing would do. So I was really left with one hand and tbh I can't remember what I did. I thought I had a discussion here looking for one-handed games and I think I was recommended Civilisation in that thread but I can't seem to find it so I must be hallucinating idk maybe I'm an AI either way, any Civ game is a safe bet for one-hand gaming, just as is the X-com series and basically anything with turn-based tag on steam

There's an indoor resort near me (called snow world) so yep haha!

Sounds terrible! You must've had a shitty period back then. I hope you fully recovered!

Thanks for the suggestions, I might revisit civ 5 and I'll check the turn based tag as well.

I follow this curator since I like to also play with 1 hand, mostly when I am just very tired and don't want to move to much but still want to play something!

DEEP SPACE WAIFU

This shooter has a one-handed modešŸ˜

Jokes aside, I recommend visual novels.
ā€˜Gnosia’, ā€˜Raging Loop’, the ā€˜Steins;Gate’ series, and ā€˜Paranoma Site’ are great options.

Civilization 3. Other civilization games, also.
Sid Meier's Pirates (2004) is entirely controlled by the numpad.
Ticket to Ride is mouse-only

if we are talking about games in your library clicker heroes is a no brainer, and if you are able to enjoy clicker games cookie clicker is also a really good option on either the steam version or the web version. also try not to damage your good wrist playing them lmao since it could happen
