Be Mine Anniversary 4

This bundle includes a year long subscription to the Be Mine series. Later this week, we’ll introduce the games in Be Mine Anniversary 4 which are included in the Be Mine subscription. For those not getting the subscription, Be Mine Anniversary 4 will introduce a modified presale where each day a game is revealed and the price will increase until the full contents are revealed for the full price.

Extended for ~10 days and several hours (ends around March, 13th... unless extended again).

Pay $21 for

  • Be Mine Annual Subscription (Get every Be Mine Bundle to be released over the next 12 months, minimum of 10 Be Mine Bundles)

  • $3 Antimatter Jonny Coin (The Jonny Coin is a special fluctuating value coin which holds unique value. Be forewarned, as more coins are issued into circulation, fluctuating price will drop)

Q&A

Based on observations and the Groupees chat. Please post your own questions in the comments, or post any relevant information you might catch on the chat yourselves!

Q: Can this be bought with Groupees coins?
A: No (oh, the irony)

Q: How many Be Mine bundles will be released this year?
A: There will be a minimum of 10 Be Mine Bundles (excluding 2018's BMA)

Q: Which period is covered by this subscription, does it include the latest Be Mine bundle recently released?
A: The subscription includes all Be Mine bundles that launch from today (14 Feb 2017) until Feb 14 2018. Does not include Be Mine #29 which was released last week.

Q: What the regular price for a Be Mine bundle?
A: $2-$2.5 on preorder, ~$4 after preorder. Please note that Be Mine Anniversary 4 will introduce a modified presale where each day a game is revealed and the price will increase until the full contents are revealed for the full price.

Q: What will happen to the previous Antimatter Jonny coins? Will they keep the price or will they be lowered to fit the $3 dollar price?
A: cyanic (Groupees HQ):

And the coin will be the same pool, but IIRC for older bundles, adding more into the pool didn't have too much of an effect to the value.
Depends how many people buy. I can run a simulation.
There are over 17K Jonny coins issued.
After a bit of calculation, you're seeing about a reduction of $4 in value.
That's providing almost 3000 purchases of the high tier, so actual reduction will be less than that.

Q: What's with the "Core Bundle" wording? (are we looking at a BM29 situation, where arbitrarily more stuff might be added on top that we then don't get?)
A: cyanic (Groupees HQ):

So for this BMA, the games will be added in as the base tier, so you'll get the contents as soon as they're added if you buy the current bundle.
I think that should solve the "core" confusion.
You're buying the same bundle.

Q: How long do I have to decide if I get the subscription or not?
A: Christian Blunda (Groupees HQ)

The subscription offer will remain for the full duration of BMA4

Q: What will the price of BMA4 be?
A: cyanic (Groupees HQ):

That's Jonny's secret.
So have fun with extended preorder.

Are you interested in knowing other ongoing bundles? Feel free to check out the new master thread!

Wondering what games you already own from this bundle? There's an extension/UserScript for that! It's called the RaChart™ Enhancer!

This script enhances the charts by showing you which games you already own from the ones in it. If you own it, the row will be highlighted with a green color.

Thanks to aresda for the heads up and to Sighery for making our lives easier with each update of his charting tools.

Buying this?

View Results
Yes. I always preorder/buy every Groupees bundle anyway... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
No. I'd rather buy individual bundles based on their contents/interest. (`_´)ゞ
Maybe. I need to to think about it. (¬、¬)
WTF is this? Is this the new Groupees "Humble Bundle wannabe" bundle?!? (ಠ_ಠ)
Humble Bundle already took all my money with the Freedom and monthly bundles... (ಥ_ಥ)

Learned my lesson too many times with Groupees.
I'd rather wait for the individual bundles. :X

Maybe the OP has been edited in the past 20 minutes, now it says:

There have been only 6 Be Mine bundles since Be Mine Anniversary #3.

which I presume would be the 2016 number, more or less.

not like it really makes a difference imo. those that are interested will buy it, those that aren't won't. no matter the history it doesn't mean anything about the future. but personally that math just doesn't add up in our favor hardly. $4 average thruout history and an average of only 6bundles. so basically pre-pay and maybe you'll get one extra bundle, maybe a couple, or possibly even less then that.

also that $4 average wasn't even the pre-order price, that was after it was revealed. it was typically only $2.49-$3.49 pre-order price.

To be fair, coins can never be used on pre-sales, and this is one.

I don't think you are going to be able to use coins after this "presale" ends and the real BMA4 bundle starts.

For the curious, buying every Be Mine in the past year at pre-order prices would have cost less than $21 (I think about $19.)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

But they are going to change the presale system with BMA4 (whatever that means). Plus you get that $3 Antimatter Jonny Coin.

The coin will only be useful to wipe your ass, though. I have 2x $19 Antimatter Jonny coins and they can't be used in the latest bundles where they could have been useful (VIP Dynamite Bundle, Remute presents: DataDoor or the BMA4 bundle itself).

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's a pre-sale, no coins can ever be expended on pre-sales, only after launch.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeah, I know. It would have been a fitting bundle to make an exception for though, not only because of the price, but also because it's so closely linked to Groupees themselves.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Not only that, but with the pre-orders, you're getting a lower price, so I can kinda understand why they don't allow the coins.
This, however, is a one time payment that won't go up, so I don't see why they don't allow coins.

edit: Unless, I suppose, they're considering this along the lines of a pre-order, rather than a subscription.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Since the presale will remain for the full duration of BMA4, there's no actual "launch" of this "bundle" and I guess coins won't be allowed.

I would remove the word "practically". To me it looks like a sure sign that their bundles will continue to decline as they cram more junk in them in order to meet the 10 bundle promise.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Going to have to say no. If they waited until next month, I might have, but with the huge Freedom Bundle, I already went over my bundle limit this month.

That and they say they are dedicated to 10 Be Mines in the next year but didn't they only have like 1 or 2 in the last year?

This seems to be their response to Greenlight going away: no more Greenlight bundles. If that means replacing them with more Be Mines, great, but I'll just stick to pre-ordering them.

I read the post and I'm not sure if I understand. If we take the 21 Dollar subscription, does that give us access to all tiers (assumes there are tiers) of each bundle, or just the base tier?

well all the games and digital stuff of the bemines will be included (I suppose the physical and limited ones won't be )

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I see, well, an example I'll use is the current BeMine (29) which has a 12 dollar tier. For the digital game: Realms of Arkania: Star Trail. Would we also get that? Or would we not considering it's a limited thing?

I'm aware this bundle is not part of the subscription, I'm just using it as an example

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I think that Be Mine had a high pre-order price so you should get that tier, though I'm not 100% sure. This all seems like they threw it together hastily after Steam announced Greenlight being axed.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Bought it during the preorder for $2, didn't get that tier. I could pay $10 more and receive that extra game now, though. I don't think it's worth it, I'd rather wait for the game to go on sale. And I also didn't like that dick move from Groupees.

EDIT: Or maybe I will, since it's one of the few occasions where I could use one of the Groupees coins...

I bought 5 bundles since July 2016 and regreted one so I just sold it in group buys. I don't really feel like I should pay 21$ for them just because of goodwill, because the previous bundles didn't really prove much.

All I see is a 21$ blind buy. Thanks, Groupees, but no thanks.
for less than 21$, I'll be adding this amazing dark/ritual ambient album to my collection. It's a reissue, not a first press but still... totally worth it for me.^^

Oh but it is very listenable on its own, I can assure you. But it's way more effective if listened with headphones on and all the lights turned off. That said, I remember reading a review from a guy claiming he did LSD before listening and that was apparently a very bad idea.

Okay, I was listening to this for 20 minutes while solving a jigidi. It has been one of the weirdest and most horrifying listening experiences I ever had. I can truly not understand why someone would sit down and listen to this with headphones and no lights on. These sounds induced fear and deep discomfort within me. Naza! I never knew you were this dark inside o.O

Comment has been collapsed.

Well, it's not called dark ambient for nothing, you know. ;) I find it utterly fascinating that music can convey such a creepy atmosphere and Zoät·Aon is one of the few acts that can effectively make me uneasy. The first time I heard that album, I did get spooked out towards the end. It's something that I can't really explain... I've always loved weird and dark stuff. Hey, I'm a huuuuge horror fan after all. But don't worry, I listen to lighter types of music too. ;)

I'm about to necro this thread, sorry in advance.

I just wanted to say that the open tab with this song was with me since you posted it, waiting for its time to come, which was a few days ago. I had a really wonderful evening listen to music from Inna Modja. Thank you so much for the recommendation, Naza <3

Hey, I'm glad you liked Inna! I was worried you wouldn't want to talk to me ever again after that unsettling Zoät·Aon I made you listen to. ;)

Inna Modja was one of the artists I had to write about last year when I took that freelance copywriter job for the Quebec City Summer Music Festival and one of the very few I really enjoyed. Another one was Ghostly Kisses, especially the song "Never Know". It's electropop with a wonderful ethereal, dreamy vibe. Lend an ear if you want, if you have time. I don't think you'd regret it.

Not sure if I could fall asleep to this, it usually ends up giving me the creeps. If you did like Star Autopsy, I would also recommend the following album, The Triplex Bestial, which is just as great.

As a sleeping aid, I'd rather rely on, let's say, Alrakis' Alpha Eri. It's Atmospheric Black Metal but it's got a very soothing side to it imo.

No wording on a minimum number of games per bundle? No promise of unbundled games? Yeah, no thanks. I can get all the games I need from Humble if this is the route they are taking. The only way I would consider it is if they allowed to pay with Groupees coins. Despite having serious doubts, I probably would have thrown my entire $35 value of coins at them if they would have let me if only for creating giveaways.
