Did you know that Frasier is part of the same "universe" as the above mentioned show? Fraiser is about one of the side characters from it.

True story...also, Frasier ran for the same length of time as Cheers...and there was apparently something discussed among the creators VERY early in the piece, about NOT having too much intersection with Cheers once Frasier started (I think that was actually a request from Kelsey himself) but they did have a few Cheers characters turn up, and even had Frasier return to Boston in one episode...
