Not really. I buy cards for money I get from selling cards I don't want. So I lose nothing :) Well, I could use it on buying games but I've already have a huge backlog. I've spent like 30 euros on my badges so far.

I agree, however I can't see myself crafting a badge without making it level 5, atleast if I really like the game. Planning on doing these lvl 5

I bought a foil hoping to sell it for a decent profit (it was priced cheaper than the next lowest by several bucks). But I set the price a little too high (by only several cents) and next thing I knew, the price had tumbled down by a lot...Okay, I haven't actually made the loss yet, but I'm 99.95% sure that it won't sell if I try to price it at a profitable price, or even a break even price.

I stopped after I got a foil, sold it, and got to 10. Seems like a waste of money now there's booster packs. Although I just think that it's a way to spend the leftover money you have in your steam wallet.

If there was more incentive to crafting a badge then I would be more likely to participate. But as it is; I prefer to just sell the cards on the market and use the steam wallet I get from it on impulse on sale items. I'd rather have a game than a badge.

Once I craft a badge, I max it out and it's only for games I enjoy playing. I don't enjoy collecting badges at level 1 or 2 just for the sake of having the badge. The past two weeks have been very disappointing for me because no games I enjoy playing have released cards :P

The games I really love aren't likely to get badges and cards, so I just crafted two with games I have that had cheap cards and the badges at least looked neat so I could get to level 10. So I have a Magicka and Offspring Fling! badge even though I've barely played both games.

You never know, I never thought CK2 would get cards, and I alreadyk now Thomas Was Alone will get some, and probably Hotline Miami too... If to the moon gets cards too, then I will have cards for all my favorite games. Killing Floor should get some cards too! In time, in time.

I drew a line though. I'll max out only those games I really love. Portal 2, HL 2 and Super Meat Boy so far. I've already maxed them out. Now waiting for more games I love :)
