So the Steam Summer Sales are about to start soon, and there'll be a ton of games I would like to buy. But, there's only so much I could. I have a habit of mine that makes me go back and forth with my decisions arguing with myself "should I buy it?" "yes, it looks fun!" "no, you're just gonna let it collect digital dust like always" And when I finally decided I would the deal's over :(. Or sometimes I rushed to make a decision and regretted it later. I wonder if other people have this kind of problem as well or not, so here's a thread for that.

TL;DR: This thread is for you to ask others whether you should buy a certain game or bundle you were interested in or not.
The examples for the factors of replies might be if the game is actually fun or not? Or is a certain bundle is worth it or not? Etc.

I hope this thread will be useful to some people, if not then I might close it later. :D

I am interested in buying Mirror's Edge, Plants vs. Zombies GOTY, and Need for Speed: Most Wanted since they're all heavily discounted right now. Should I?

I played Mirror's Edge: Catalyst through Origin Access and it is so bad. You just run back and forth through the same areas, going from mission to mission, doing the same thing over and over again. First one is miles above.

agreed. i got it for 5$ and it was 100% worth it tho. most of the new games they put on steam end up needed origin in some way or another, or have newer versions on origin, or less dlc on steam, or way cheeper on origin, or no way of transferring already owned dlc/games! ended up wish-listing a few of them and removing all OFF THEM!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeBCAIvN5pY

Original ME is great game, short but great.Plants vs Zombies is alright, although that type of game in my opinion belongs on a phone. Most Wanted is terrible remake with awful controls, if you want decent arcade racing buy Burnout Paradise instead.

Mirror's Edge is one of my favorite games so of course I'm gonna recommend it, Catalyst however, you can safely skip until free or super cheap.
PvZ is great fun, and for that price you can't go wrong.
I've only played a few of the many Need for Speed titles, Most Wanted is not one of those, so no clue if its good or not.

Since no-one else has expressed this particular opinion yet, I'll do it:
Mirror's Edge is painfully boring. Sure, it might be interesting for the first few minutes but it quickly turns into a glorified "go to the objective and if you're not fast enough or slip up you die and have to do it again" simulator. And it's not always clear exactly what the "right" path is. It doesn't evolve or change at all. And somehow the game still feels insultingly short and rushed. Enemies are absolutely pathetic, using amazing strategies such as "run up to you and keep shooting" and absolutely nothing else (unless they bug out and get stuck in place instead). At the same time later enemies can kill you in 3-4 hits and use automatic weapons with surprising accuracy so if you're forced into a small area with a bunch of them it becomes a trial of your patience for the one instance when they don't immediately gun you down with terminator accuracy. Stealth is completely broken and more often than not just flat out doesn't work. Quite a few environments are so bright that you can't see shit and it's honestly kinda painful on the eyes. There is an overall feel of it being unpolished in many aspects of the game.
Basically, it boils down to "Do you wanna play a game consisting entirely of that one Uncharted-like climbing mechanic that every 3-rd Person Action-Adventure game has to have nowadays... in first person... for about 5 hours... and you can fail, and often will fail, and have to re-do bits of it?".
(There is also that whole "giving EA money" thing but that's just a personal gripe. :P )

Plants vs Zombies is a very cute tower defense game that I very quickly lost interest in playing. I think it's because each stage is usually just a small variation on what came before and I got tired of doing virtually the same thing over and over again.

Mirrror's Edge is really interesting and worth getting, but I'll go with the unpopular opinion that Mirror's Edge Catalyst is more fun and the better game.

Mirror's Edge has great level design - it really feels like you're running through and over real buildings. But because it's so realistic, it can often be difficult to figure out where you're supposed to go and how you're supposed to get there, so the reality of playing is that you frequently stop and look around, then traverse a small section, then stop and look around again. Also, the combat detracts from the game, and even on the Easy difficulty I felt that the soldiers were a really annoying distraction to keep you from the joy of the game - navigating the streets and rooftops using parkour.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst resolves several of the problems in the original Mirror's Edge. The simplified level design makes it so that you can figure out where to go at a glance and can just keep running without having to stop all the time - thus you feel like an elite runner who's able to navigate the rooftops at speed rather than an amateur stopping every minute. When you're running at speed you become un-shootable which lets you run without being constantly staggered by gunfire as in the first game, and high-speed traversal techniques let you knock down enemies and keep moving - just as a runner would. The combat itself is also much improved - though it's still the weakest part of the game, and I think the game would be better if the combat was toned down. The level design is definitely worse, simplified in order to make it ease to parse at a glance, so there's no illusion that you're in a real city as opposed to a fictional one, and you're practically reliant on Runner's Vision to get around (though do change it to the low setting, which is more than enough), but the ability to run through the city without having to stop is so worth the sacrifice.

So I have concluded that I would buy Mirror's Edge and PvZ in the Steam Summer Sale later. About NfS: MW, I'll have a think about it later again. Thank you all for your time writing valuable suggestions and feedback!

I forgot to say that I have played Both PvZ and NfS: MW before, PvZ on my old Vaio running Windows Vista :) and MW on Xbox 360. I enjoyed both of them very much, they're both a part of my childhood, I'm just wondering it will still be worth it if I still buy today. Thank you everyone again! And yes, I have read your very long essays on Mirror's Edge as well, I didn't ignore it. :>

Stuff on my wishlist I’m a bit iffy on:

Hades - Is it worth $20? Loved Bastion, didn’t really like Transistor because of Turn(). Big fan of action roguelikes though.

Children of Morta - Graphics look beautiful, gameplay looks worrying. It seems to consist of just using the same move over and over again, from what I’ve seen of trailers and First Impressions videos.

One Step From Eden - Love the art style and combat, but I’ve heard lots of complaints on balance issues and difficulty.

For Children of Morta, the gameplay depends on the character you play as (there are several that you'll gradually unlock), which will in turn determine the limited set of basic skills you'll have access to, and the randomly-dropped skills/buffs (there are exact terms used in the game but I've forgotten them - sorry!) you decide to keep.

P/S: I'm recalling this from memory so it might be slightly inaccurate. If you're interested, here are some vids As you may have noticed, I really like the archer character and hence, I've played as her for most of my playthrough.

That being said, I've played the game's demo last year and it's possible that the devs would bring the demo back one day. If you're still unsure, it might be a great idea to wait for it before deciding. Personally, I think that if you're a huge fan of roguelikes/lites, you'll like this one.

All your worries are spot on.

CoM has great graphics and story, but the gameplay quality varies a lot.
Hades is great, though a little too expensive. It feels closer to Transistor than to Bastion, but you probably won't have much problems with it.
OSFE has a solid foundation and is getting small tweaks here and there, so I'd give it a solid recommendation. While it is a recent game, I haven't seen it go on sale at all, so keep that in mind.

The single player campaign is really good but short. I haven't played the game in awhile so I wasn't sure if the online pop was good anymore and it turns out it's doing pretty decent. Steamcharts are showing 7k players and that doesn't include the players not using it on Steam, which is pretty good as it's in the top 100 played games on Steam. If you don't have any interest in the online play I'd probably wait for a better sale.

Just a small psa for everyone who's gonna buy something: summer sale is starting very soon, and we already know there are cards, so there will likely be an event as well. Because this is Steam, fun is locked behind a price, so to participate, you'll have to spend money. Now, usually these events are retroactively applied to recent purchases, but for those who don't want to take the risk of steam glitching out and screwing you over, you might want to wait a few days until the sale and event actually start.

Hrm, should I get Tales of Zestiria or should I just wait for it to MAYBE get into another bundle and save the money for the Summer sale? I have just enough to get it at the current sale price. I did enjoy Berseria, so would I like Zestiria's story and such?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's a bit worse as it came out before Berseria and Berseria polished many things. But since Berseria is a prequel to Zestiria, and most of the core mechanics are similar, you may give it a try if you enjoyed Berseria.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

PC port of Zestiria is complete and utter garbage, just so you know. Not even community fixes make it much better. Unless you don't mind playing games at 30fps, you might want to take this into consideration.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Oh. 30FPS isn't the problem, played worse PC ports before (SR2 and finished that even, so very little can phase me already. Barring games with extremely bad/shoddy story and MS paint graphics.). It's more, how stable (More to the, does it crash alot?) is the game and will I enjoy the story coming from Berseria? I don't have a console to play it on so can't exactly resort to getting the console version. it's why I asked if I should just wait for it to be rebundled and take my chances then instead if it's really bad. Or maybe see if someone has a key for it for much cheaper on say Barter/Steamtrades.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Never crashed for me, although I didn't play for very long. And I never played Berseria, so I can't really attest to that. But I can say I also don't mind 30 fps too much, but what really gets to me is these absolute bottom of the bin ports that fluctuate between 30 and 60fps for no apparent reason whatsoever. Looking at this city full of people in the distance? 60 fps, no problem. Oh, want to turn your camera around this empty field? Here you go, 30 fps with bad frame pacing because screw you. A 360º camera turn can wield about 4 different fps states. But if you lock the fps at 30, I guess the worst part of the port is dealt with.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Agreed, I can deal with stable low/30 FPS, but the pingpong FPS I get from some made me rage quit out of them from something akin to motion sickness even when it's not VR. Or BS just walking off the edge of a platform in a game thanks to sudden dips in FPS+high ping like in Battleborn way back in the days.

This community patch removes 30 fps cap and fixes stability issues.

Zestiria was my first Tales of game and I loved it. It might not be the best but I definitely recommend it.
With the linked community patch, I had zero issues that I can remember and played it to completion.

Now you tell me, I just finished SK Burst Re:newal, The story was okay, nothing that special but I liked the gamplay. Should i get Shinovi versus or give it some time before I get back to the series?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Don't have Burst to refer to, but I'll say Shinovi is really fast paced compared to Estival. Gameplay is generally more or less the same for all them them tbh (Includes Spiritual Successor Valkyrie Drive.) . it's just, do you like it on speed or not. I actually prefer Shinovi cos it's less of a 'drag', to put it. Oh, you MIGHT want to wait for a sale. They are pretty expensive off sale tbh, especially those with character DLCs and such.

Tbh, Senran Kagura PS games were never really on the plot side compared to the 3DS games. It's mostly for fanservice with a passable half decent plot but unless you are a MASSIVE fan, I honestly think you won't even remember much of it a month after. Maybe the character personalities, but barely the plot.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's a WIP for me and I haven't had any crashing issues The characters don't have the chemistry that Berseria's does, but it's not terrible. I do like Sorey's and Mikleo's relationship. Controls are a bit rougher than Berseria I find. I also played Berseria first, and it does fill in a lot of blanks and story for the universe, which I found is worth while.

edit: I see it's 75% off, not sure how much deeper a sale it's gonna get, but that seems like a good discount IMO

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's why I'm asking. Do I drop SGD$17~ on it, or keep for sale. It's also why i haven't gotten it. Maybe more people would reply to shift my thoughts.

So are you telling me the yaoi is real? Is there any yuri subtext though?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

No yuri subtext in Zestiria. Just yaoi; Sorey/Mikleo and it's entirely wholesome. Vesperia seems to have yuri subtext though, but I only just started that one, so I can't say anything definite about it.

Zestiria is definitely weaker overall than Berseria, and as much as I like it, I'm not sure how well it'd stand on it's own. If you're wanting more lore on the universe for Berseria/Zestiria including some of the character history, it's probably worth it. Characters such as Zavied and Eizen's sister. I like Sorey's and Mikleo's back story as well, but I don't think there's much reference to it in Berseria.. You learn a lot about the history of the Malak and some of the history behind the Shepherd. I did also spend some time trying to figure out which areas were which from Berseria as well.

So I guess it depends how curious you are about the lore and character stories and the history for Berseria as to whether or not you want to buy it now or wait for a better deal.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Awww.... Was kinda hoping for some yuri subtext with the other characters. Vesperia is abit out of range atm.

Also, I think the deal behind Malaks aren't really a spoiler. You find out more or less at the end of the bonus dungeon in Berseria after all.

Oh, and is that story DLC for Alisha important to get? I know the rest are costumes or pay2win type DLCs.

Tbh, part of me wants to get it because God Eater 2 cameo stuff as well. I just wish Code Vein was MUCH cheaper complete.

It answers a little about what happened after the end boss but also leaves you off with different questions for a character I never bothered learning the name of. I want to buy some games this sale but unsure what to buy:

Which one of these should I choose: Dark Souls Remastered (never played a souls-like game before),Kingdom Come Deliverance,The Witcher 3 (I own the first two games, played the 1st one didn't enjoy it) OR Greedfall ?

Borderlands 1,I've heard is good in Co-Op but what about single-player ?
And lastly I'm interested in buying a Resident Evil game but unsure which one (played HD remaster but isn't my cup of tea) maybe 2 or 4 ?

Dark Souls Remastered? Good game, but watch a couple YouTube videos to make sure it wouldn't frustrate you.
Witcher 3? The first game is nothing like the others, if you like 2, go for it, but ignore whether you liked the first or not.
Kingdom Come Deliverance or Greedfall? No idea on either of these.

Borderlands 1? The game is a slog in single-player imo. I personally wouldn't waste my money on it.
Resident Evil game? 4 is the most beloved of the series, from what I have seen, but 2 remake is closer to the series roots while still having modern appeal.

I bought Dark Souls 3, because I thought I was OK with hard games.
Yeah... no.
If you haven't played a DS like game, my biggest advice is to try a demo (pirate it) for 1 or 2 hours, and if you don't get frustrated, go for it.

Witcher: don't decide based on the first one. Try out the second, as it's closer to the 3. Maybe watch the netflix witcher series, and if you like the characters, the theme, go for it.

Borderlands 1: it doesn't have much of a story. It's kinda like an mmo shooter in single player. I wouldn't buy it.

Kingdom Come: I haven't played it much, so can't say whether it's worth it.

I don't play horror games, so can't say anything about Resident Evil, and I haven't even heard of Greedfall, so no opinion on that either.

About Kingdom Come, it's a mixed bag. I enjoyed the game until about 60%. It's awesome at making you feel you suck until you don't. When you're finally able to fight back then they throw 10 enemies at a time, and it becomes a terrible chore. You need to either find a spot where then can only come one at a time (a ladder) or somewhere where they can't get you at all, and shoot arrows til you kill most of them.

I didn't finish the last couple of quests because of that, it's a good game otherwise, but the frustration is unbearable. And that's coming from someone with 100% in Demon's souls, Dark souls and Bloodborne.

About RE, i'm a big fan of 1 and 2, 3 is ok and the rest didn't interest me enough. The remaster of 2 has gotten high praise, so it might be safe to go with that.

Borderlands, go with 2.

I have played Witcher 3 & Greedfall. My personal opinion is that Witcher 3 is the most fun. You can spend endless hours in that game & have a blast. The world really sucks you in & every character is very detailed.
Greedfall is fun, too, but it's not really an open world title. Since a very small indie company made the game, many levels are recycled, the combat system isn't as smooth as it could be, etc. But it's still fun I think! I would recommend some mods from Nexus though, if you get motion sick real quick. The camera in Greedfall is a little meh. With mods it's okay I think.

I've only player Witcher 3, KC:D, and Greedfall so I can't comment on the others. As for those three:

Witcher 3 is a great game if you enjoy open world RPGs. It's nothing like the first Witcher in game mechanics, if that is what you didn't enjoy. 3 plays a lot more like 2 if you've played that one at all. If it was the plot/characters/setting you didn't like, then you still won't like it in 3.

KC:D is a mixed bag. It is a challenging game that really makes you work for your skills. As in, while skills theoretically level up as you use them, you better also be getting better in real life. Unlike most RPGs, you aren't some awesome prophesied hero; you're just some schmuck and it shows. You have to work for all your skills, and you have to manage issues like hunger and cleanliness. It also wasn't very modable when I was playing it, so bear that in mind.

Greedfall, ah Greedfall. This is an amazing game considering that it was made by a small indie developer. The quality of the graphics and gameplay is incredible considering it wasn't made by some big studio with a large budget. That being said, it has some glaring flaws. There are still a number of bugs, but nothing that I found to be ground breaking (mostly graphical glitches). It isn't a true open world, although it pretends to be. A lot of areas are quest locked-- you can get there, but you can't do anything until you've progressed so far in the game. The story is decent but nothing groundbreaking. All-in-all an enjoyable game but you probably won't remember it several years down the line.

Overall, I'd say any are enjoyable. KC:D is the most challenging of the three and the Witcher 3 has the broadest appeal.

Absolutely. Not only both OS1 and OS2 are good RPG games, but they also have a very nice interaction between elements and environment. E.g. there are some enemies, you throw a barrel at them/cast rain so that they stand in water now and then use the lightning spell which can stun them. Interactions like these were so cool and so variable that I've never felt bored in combat. See for yourself:

Yes, definitely. DOS is an amazing game. I have logged hundreds of hours in it. There are plenty of guides available if you are really struggling, but it is fairly intuitive I think (although, I am not a newbie to the genre so I may not be the best judge).

Also, fwiw, the developers Larian are fantastic. For example, when they released the definitive edition which included a heavily remastered 3rd act, they released it for free to everyone who already owned the game. Also they release things that would be DLC in other games (e.g. new weapon/armor packs, new questlines, new official mods) frequently and always for free. They don't try to milk their customers for extra money; they just produce a quality product.

I was looking for a fun, chill game to spend much time in, thank you! I guess I'll be buying & supporting them when Baldur's Gate 3 releases, too I guess. They sound great :D Hopefully I'll be able to understand that game without playing the others first. For some reason old game graphics give me headaches when they're not as smooth >.<

Sale ends June 25. Buy now, or wait for summer sale when it will be the same price or cheaper?

Suggestions for steam summer sale:

  1. wait with the purchase until 3rd July Friday, else the game you bought will be in next Humlbe Choice:-D
  2. buy it if you want to play the game instantly, if just "perhaps ill play this during next month", then probably don't buy it
  3. There are no flash sales anymore and publishers need to set up prices for the duration of the whole sale, which is pretty long, so the best deals usually during midweek madness / weekend sale / special publisher sale

I'n waiting for STEAM sales so I can get Project Winter, Catherine Classic and Town of Salem, they all look great, but I would like to hear from people who played one of those games if they are good or not worth it.

Well you've come at the perfect time to get town of salem. it was a broken mess on steam. despite owning it and the dlc i always used the web browser version because it was that bad. It was always slow so it was pretty much unplayable unless you didn't want to talk. It's been updated now though and works pretty great. It's been a little while since I played, almost 6 months ago apparently but with about 1k hours between both versions I feel like I can still give some sort of opinion.

For the gameplay it really depends on how serious you are. If you are going in most of the time expecting a serious game and win you might have a bad time. Alot of time people will just randomly lynch who ever and even kill off confirmed people like the mayor despite most people being a townie. There are also the games where theme names are taken way to seriously. 1 way or another one of the sides will die just depends if the killers have a themed name or not. I personally had the best time when I had someone to play with since I knew I had one sane person not randomly voting me up on day 2 because no one cares for proof

I've said a lot of negative there but I do still like the game. As I said when with a friend I have an amazing time. I don't care what happens and when it is taken seriously it can be great. I've met some amazing people through the game and the suspense when you are so close to winning it all. I've had great games where I managed to kill all the bad guys as a vet, that was with 2 different arsonists. all the mafia and 2 serial killers. Then i had to decide who was the 3rd arsonist and who was the townie so we could vote it out to win. This game has a lot of bad but it also has a lot of good. Even after all these years they are adding in new fun modes and with coven dlc its a whole new adventure

I have played catherine but not on the pc. When I played it on the xbox though I enjoyed it a lot so I was happy to see it come to pc

Thank you, I used to play in one of my friends account about an year ago, I never touched ever since. But now I wanted to start to play again, I just didn't know if features changed or if the steam version was good. You really convinced me and I'm definitely getting town of salem.

if they hadnt updated the game for steam i wouldnt have recommended it. I wouldve told you to skip it and buy it on the browser if it meant so much to you. the roles have changed slightly but its nothing to hard. with new roles they obviously had to change a few things but te biggest change is really just the jester. before jester would kill anyone who said guilty but now they can kill everyone who doesnt say innocent. apart from that yeah nothing to big of a difference. they also added notes into the game so you can keep your will clean and then notes on the side. good for messy roles like spy

i played catherine classic and it is mostly a puzzle game where you need to jump from block to block with increasing difficulty. there is a story which connects every puzzle together and it is fun and i enjoyed it. if you are a fan of puzzle games and can live with frustration a bit and training the levels get it. but if you cant it will probably make you rage quit because there will be times you will die over and over and have to repeat certain aspects and dialogues which sometimes got annoying. all in all i liked it.

If you don't plan to play Dying Light anytime soon, you could wait till the second part is released. The game should become cheaper then.
Besides that it's absolutely worth buying it.

Should I buy Assassin's Creed Origins Gold Edition or Assassin's Creed Odyssey?

Permalink

My friends who are fans of the series say that Odyssey is worse than Origins gameplay and story-wise.
I've only played Origins (completed it) and didn't like it. The setting is beautiful, though.

I've played both and they're great games.
While playing Origins, Alexandria made me crave more of the same scenery, so I bought Odyssey.
If you buy the gold edition (Odyssey), you will also get AC3 remastered + season pass.
If AC3 doesn't interest you, then buy The Fate of Atlantis DLC. It's awesome.

That said, I would buy Origins first then Odyssey.

Honestly, I would base this decision off which setting appeals to you more. They play very similarly, so if you like one you will like the other. I preferred Odyssey slightly because I preferred the Greek setting and because it allowed me to play as a female character (in Origins you mostly play as one guy, and occasionally as his wife whereas in Odyssey you have 2 different characters you can choose to play- Cassandra or Alexios).

Either is a good pick though! Enjoy =)

Insurgency Sandstorm. I just want to play PvE. My friend play it. Is it good for it?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I don't play Insurgency Sandstorm, but since no one is replying to you, I guess I'm going to. For PvE, I usually just play Team Fortress 2's Mann vs. machine since it's free and it's great fun as well. If your friend says it's good and you wanna play with your friend, then go for it. My friend also plays this and he also said it's great. Looking at the reviews it also looks promising.
If it turns out that you don't really enjoy it you could always request a refund if you haven't played over 2 hours yet. (and in two weeks after date of purchase) Hope this helps ^^.

So should i buy

  1. DOOM (2016). This has been on my wishlish for a while and with the release of Eternal, It is a good price right now? or should i just skip to Eternal with that 50% off?

  2. Bayonetta. Played the 2nd one on switch and didn't get to play the first one because i bought it secondhand from my friend and the first game code already used. so is it a good right now?

  3. Va-11 Hall-A or Kind Words. I'm searching for a game for relax/chill and came between these two as final choice. Which one should i buy first?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I haven't played va-11 Hall-A yet (just bought it) but it is an actual game compared to Kind Words. I adore Kind Words, but the whole "game" is just sending letters to strangers and recieving them back. Then sometimes they give you stickers and you can collect them. So there's no actually gameplay. I think both are great choices, just depends on if you want an actual game or not

Yeah i think I'll go with Va-11 Hall-A first since you said actual gameplay and someone on my friendlist actually played it and reviewed it. Thanks!

I'd recommend Kind Words if you need someone to rant out to without affecting your loved ones. It's not really a game, but more like a form of therapy (but obviously it's not real therapy but just a platform to feel better) if you need to let out some troubling thoughts. I'd still recommend it though because the community here is very nice and friendly!

As for DOOM (2016), I've played a bit of it and I'd say get the 2016 one first to see if you like the game. The difference between the two (that I heard from my friend who played both), is that Eternal has more platforming game play compared to 2016 so if you're into a platforming FPS game, then Eternal's the better one.

Yeah. After consideration Kind Words is not what i'm searching right now (That said i'm still gonna buy it. Maybe not now tho). It looks wholesome and maybe it's a nice way to share problem/struggles

FPS platforming huh? Interesting but idk how i'm gonna feel about it unless i play it lol. I like the old one so maybe i'll play 2016 first. Thanks for the tips!

I know the story is (kinda) non existence but this is one of the game that i prefer the gameplay over the story (destroying demon is fun lol). Yeah maybe i'll get the 2016 first. Hopefully there's gonna be more discount for Eternal in the future. Thanks!

Bayonetta runs perfect on PC, as long as you have a controller. I suppose it's obvious why, as character action games tend to play better with one, unless you are playing on the handholding easy mode where you just smash 1 button all game which then makes no diff whatever you play on. M+KB is supported though, playable, but YMMV on your level of enjoyment.I will say if you ABSOLUTELY HATE QTEs, you might be better off watching an LP instead. There are some sudden cutscene QTES you have to watch out for but they are mentioned in that 100% guide if you want to spoil yourself. Will say they aren't that punishing (Just irritating to have to repeat multiple times if you aren't fast or have good reflexes. But memorisation works as they mostly use the same QTES every time.) since most of the time, the checkpoint is close by.

Will say it's also at a nice price atm for a game at that age atm..Worth is you enjoy the characters/story.

After you said about that QTE. I immediately search about it and damn that's pretty annoying lol. But I think i'll manage even if it's gonna take a while (it looks harder than the 2nd game). Thanks for the tips!

So far I have these in my cart:

  • What Remains of Edith Finch
  • Plants vs. Zombies GOTY Edition
  • Sonic Generations Collection

I'm thinking of buying 2 out of these options to reach the minimum for the discount: (the price per bullet is similar in my region)

  • Tales of Symphonia + Dragon Cliff
  • STEINS;GATE
  • Tokyo Xanadu eX+
  • NITE Team 4
  • The Shadows of Pygmalion

Yes, the description of the bundle you linked says "These titles are included with all versions of Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove."

If you also go to the Treasture Trove page and scroll down the description, you will see that it includes all 4 of these DLCs.
