27,000+ negative reviews is still a lot in my opinion. The player base plummeted by 90% after launch and never recovered despite deep sales.

Another heads up from me. I play a lot of games like this and Wolcen reviews are for sure not just bad servers. I finished it on launch and it had too many issues most of which had nothing to do with servers and were present in offline mode too. Ignoring issues with the developer's behavior there were problems with saves not wroking, getting bricked on certain points in the story with no way to continue, a ton of bugs and not working mechanics in the game (half the passives didn't even do anything). I had to do the story 3 times before finishing it completely because it wiped my offline characters multiple times towards the end.
It's possible the devs fixed the issues but knowing how they handled the weeks after launch I still expect a lot of them to persist.
That said for under 10$ it's not bad for a single or a few playthroughs.

honestly I'd rather spend another $6-8 on Humble Choice or $15 for the new Survival Humble Bundle which includes Chernobylite, SCUM, State of Decay 2 and The Long Dark.

Wouldn't have mattered in this case. A demo wouldn't have shown what was wrong with it.
The starting areas were actually pretty polished even when the game launched, lots of cinematic cutscenes and details... but as you progressed through it, things just got more and more unfinished. By the end it was clear the devs didn't care at all, or ran out of money/time. I couldn't even complete the game since the end boss was immune to my particular build (they hadn't even tested it things like that properly).

I am playing this since saturday and it is a very good game for its genre; dont be fooled by its mixed reviews, most of the negative ones are from the release when they had problems with the servers; i think the save system is still bugged or not working as intended or maybe im just having problems with it. H'n'S isnt really my thing but i find this game really enjoyable, not to mention how it looks, really drooling in some parts.
