Pirate bundle was crap, two Steam games (one is common bundle filler), one Greenlight title, and a ****ton of music.

Believe or not, they rebundled Pixel Piracy for the 1001st time. SHAME ON YOU GROUPEES!

Basically what Delta said. They were advertising a pirate bundle and it felt so promsing. I knew there was a lot of music in it but I expected at least one halfway decent game. Instead they gave us Pixel Piracy, which has been bundled to death and was even given out for free at one point, Pirate Hell, a mediocre shovelware title and some Greenlight game that looks exactly the same as Pirate Hell gameplay wise.

exactly what i always think about bundles. and at the end of the month, i realize i spent 60€ on them. ^^

All these people griping about the Pirate Bundle, I guess never actually read up on it [to realize how many games there were and how iffy the devs were being about noting their quality] before preordering it?
It was always going to only be 3 games, and while one was a generic repeat [the dev responsible for its inclusion did apologize for it], and another poorly reviewed, the greenlight game was good enough.
The quality and amount of the music and comics was very good, and if you were buying the bundle for those, or as a mixed bundle, you got your money's worth, and then some.
Don't get me wrong, Groupees drops some awful stuff now and then- Community and WGN bundles being the key troublemakers (like the last WGN bundle, which had only low-rated, non-notable games)-
but this /is not one of them/.
I mean, you have the right to hate it, to think it awful, etc.
But it's not INHERENTLY bad, and so, you can't use that specific bundle as an excuse to hate on Groupees.
Rather, that's more a suggestion to yourself that, if hitting groupees up only for games, you should probably not preorder bundles with few games included in it.
Now, for actual reasons to hate the pirate bundle-
Cyanic was a complete jerk about giving hints, and when we brought up that we would have liked better clarification on just the basics of what was included [eg, how many greenlights, how many rebundles, etc], he basically told us to screw off (though in less harsh and more dismissive terms) or play his game, and made it sound like we were at fault for not completing his arbitrary task, nevermind that most of us pestering him didn't even want to know the games outright, we just wanted a reasonable idea of what we were buying into.
So, the bundle itself is decent quality, but there's no doubting that it was poorly handled.

I'm sorry for appearing like a jerk. I'm always tweaking how to deliver hints. I acknowledge being a bit vague about what's generally included, but the reason for that is I typically don't look at bundles until they enter preorder, and I tend to stay vague until I confirm things. For this bundle you've got normal hints. As for the hints or lack thereof for the Pirate bundle, the team got annoyed at me for being too open with hints, so I had to tone it down. Maybe I overdid it?

Sorry, it's out of line to speak behind people's backs, but I'm fairly irritable person these days; Though, that's no excuse. Still, I did run it by you and then saw no change in attitude in the general chat, so I admit to being rather frustrated.
Well, I know the people I was talking to through the preorder all agreed that all we really wanted as far as hints were vague thing like how many greenlight, rebundles, etc, to give us some way to estimate how valuable the bundle would be to us. None of us mentioned needing anything concrete, so the 'crack the code' event was unnecessary to us. In fact, the common sentiment was 'the crack the code is unnecessary, but kudos to those that like it; we just wish it wasn't at the expense of more basic hints'.
Anyway, I think a lot of stress would have been avoided- for me, specifically, if noone else- if you'd expressed more of a 'I'll consider that' attitude after I brought it up. Instead, it felt like you were just waiting for me to finish rambling so I'd shut up, it wasn't very positive an experience.
Of course, miscommunication is a regular thing among humans, and I admit I'm fairly overeager to grab on to what seems to be a negative interaction and assume it is indeed such.
So, putting aside our personal mishap aside, as well as what is and isn't specific to this or previous bundles;
I, and the people I talked to, would like a basic idea of what's in a bundle, especially something that's theme-typed rather than genre-typed, and especially a theme as dominated by bad quality games as 'pirates'.
In the end, it's a matter of how WE view preordering; but unfortunately, you got us used to getting a good idea of what's in a bundle. Take that away, add in an over-elaborate game that excludes many people from being able to play it, and then make it feel like we're forced to play it and we're at fault for not doing so..
Yeah, that impression is what we got, and what caused some of us to be upset.
As far as the actual bundle contents go, I think at least some frustration could have been avoided for everyone if the contents had been more clear; but it did end up being a rather good bundle- so long as you weren't in it solely for the games.
Again, I apologize for my own rudeness, and thank you for respectfully continuing to consider this matter.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=229934037anti-confirmedI was really torn about posting this. Groupees so pissed me off with that Pirate bundle that I didn't feel like advertising their bundles any longer. But then again I see this as a community service. So there you have it, now you know, but yo have to do further hint hunting yourself I'm afraid. (That Pirate bundle was beyond awful... Now I get it, they wanted to make me curse like a pirate... Goal achieved ;P)
Also this bundle has cooking cats. You all need to know about this
