hey, i have the problem that steam always starts in the offline modus and with old steam game updates in my download list. for the most people is the solution to delete the file: ClientRegistry.blob. or restart the internet router. but in my case it doesnt work.

question number two is. what happend with my installed games in my steam library if deinstall an reinstall steam. i hope its the solution for my problem.

or does anyone have another possible solution.

thanks in advance

See if you have a file inside your steam folder called steam.cfg and that contains the following lines:
BootStrapperInhibitAll=enable
ForceOfflineMode=enable

If it does either delete those lines, or delete the file altogether.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Steam? Your games should remain installed. The new Steam install should find your installed games soon after startup.

Keep the steam/steamapps/common folder if you want to keep your games.

Delete everything in the Steam install folder except for Steam.exe and the Steamapps folder.
EDIT: AND RUN Steam.exe.
Derp.

If it still doesn't work, maybe restart your router?

After deleting those files, launch Steam using the steam.exe within that directory. However, there is a new way to rebuild the Steam directory. Do this before trying a reinstall since it might save you the hassle.
