I was about to post a long text about this matter but I somehow feel like a short one will do, too.
Even steam just asks you to enter your birthday which you can easily lie about and no one will ever know. Not even steam has a "proper" way to check how old you are, so I don't think steamgifts needs one.

It was surprisingly low quantity. I guess they don't want to devalue their products too much. I can't recall them ever deeply discounting their titles? The only thing that comes to mind is their Memorial Collection CD which comes with three of their older DOS titles, but that used to be around 30 dollars if I recall.
I ended up passing on the bundle even though I found it during the super short pre-order window.

When I was a child, we didn't need age restrictions on gaming. I played Strip Poker on my C64 and Splatterhouse 2 on my Mega Drive in my early teens. I turned out fine.

My parents used to care about what i played. But then one day in the 7th grade my dad sat me down and made me play cod 1 so i know what a real game is. Now they dont give a shit. (Im 17 btw)

That's awesome, I wish I had been from a more recent generation. I introduced my son to gaming with Fez and Dust: Elysian Tail, but all he plays now is Hearthstone. I can't get him interested in anything else lol.

It came to my attention that cg created recently a Community Vote giveaway, which you can find here. However, that giveaway is for the game that requires from steam user to be aged 18+, and it's totally possible for an user to register on SteamGifts, win such giveaway and activate (and play!) a game while he didn't do any age check, therefore skipped the whole process! This is actually a giant backdoor because it allows children to play age-restricted games they won in the SG giveaways!
I demand immediate response and proper age check done before being allowed to join giveaways for 18+ games! It's hilarious that nobody take closer look at that important issue!
