No, you're thinking of Neil Diamond, the one who passed used to be a judge on American Idol and on America's Got Talent.

That was Simon Cowel, the recently deceased was the first human to walk on the moon.

Rest in peace. He has always been too poorly known here in Europe. I really hope that we will be able to see and hear more of him, he's unfortunately never been that covered here really. "A piedi nudi nel parco" was awesome - the Italian rendering of "Barefoot in the Park". Loved his style and the dialogues, even though I myself have unfortunately seen too little of his opera.

Yes, he will certainly be missed. First Aretha Franklin, now Neil Simon. At least both of them had a good run and died old, as opposed to Chris Cornell last year...man, that one really shook me up.

Neil Simon has died at 91. The longtime playwright was a favorite of mine. The Odd Couple, original, was a work of genius. Apparently it was complications from pneumonia.
RIP, Mr. Simon. Thank you for all the laughs.
