So, I am currently waiting on a giveaway for Agony whichhasn't been released yet, I agreed with the creator that they cannot purchase it yet so I will wait until that time....

However, I won that game in January last year so it is now on page 2 of my key list. So, I was wondering if there could be a way to put unredeemed keys on top of the list or make a seperate list at the top of the list for keys that are yet to be redeemed.

Its cool if it can't be implemented as its more quality of life and probably doesn't affect many people.

Also giveaways would be nice too!

There doesn't seem to be a game called Agony in your list of won games?

Nah, you should be expecting a key within 7 days and not wait for it for 5 months. It's good that you the winner and the GA creator have an understanding where you're both fine with waiting, but honestly they shouldn't have a giveaway that ends before the release of the game. Because keys (and gifts) are expected to be delivered within 7 days. And with that such an implementation would be unnecessary imo.

Well I was apart of a group where everyone had to create unique giveaways for New Year and a lot of people would create giveaways for games that weren't released. Some even had to ask for the games to be created on the website so they could make giveaways. So if CG is okay with adding these games then I'm sure he is fine with it exceeding the delivery time.

Plus... I won a game that I will receive probably day 1 of release thats going to cost like £60... I'm TOTALLLY fine with waiting lol.

Oh and it was a year and 5 months go also hahahaha

It's not 5 months, it's 1 year and 5 months waiting. In these cases I always mark it as not received and when I finally get the key change it to received

I would not do that as it makes the giveaway creator look untrustworthy. Please leave it unmarked if you care about peoples respect!

I agree if you mark as unreceived in these situations it will look really bad on the GA creator.

Yeah but its disrespectful to do so if you know you will eventually receive the key. If it is a normal situtation you would mark as received AFTER 7 days. During that 7 says do not touch anything until you receive a valid key or the 7 days are over.

Thats what I'm trying to say... Do not click not received until the 7 days are over. What you are saying is to mark it as not received until you get the key which is not right.

In my case, the creator said that I wouldn't get the key until release and I said it was okay. If I mark it as not received even though I KNOW I will get it, it will make them look like they are untrustworthy.

Trust me, nobody uses "not received" until the 7 days, its an unwritten rule. You might even get someone reported because of it.

Well it's not you that has won Agony. I didn't agree to not Mark as not received, I agreed that they cannot buy a key or steam gift until it is released because there is no option to buy it yet. If I Mark as not received they would have had that on there profile for a year and a half. I know they will send the key because they are trustworthy and I was part of a trust worthy group. They couldn't have delivered the key because there was no buy option.

They have made a giveaway for a unbundled game that I wishlisted a year and a half ago and I'm hyped for it. I don't know why you are treating like it's a bad thing. They had done such a nice thing that a lot of people wouldn't do on this website.

CG is completely fine with it. I don't know if you know that CG is the admin of this website.... So if he is okay with it it is not against the rules lol

That's pretty reliably considered a rude action to take on SG, in any situation where the GA creator is actively trying to get you the game. Though, in fairness, GA creators usually don't leave you waiting QUITE that long with a won alert up on your win icon. :P

(Conversely, it's quite appreciated when someone DOESN'T mark it before the endpoint of the timeline the GA creator set.)

How were they even able to make a GA of it then?

They asked CG to add it to the system and he did it.

Ah. Weird. Hopefully not something that will happen again. What's the point of allowing GAs being made for potentially non-existant products?
Edited for clarification.

I'm totally fine if it happens to me again. If a game ever gets the development cancelled then I will tell them to delete the giveaway as I appreciate the chance to win the game nonetheless.

They shouldn't' let preorders into the system. No working key = no valid GA. Right?

You are saying that you would decline the chance to win AAA games because it might not be a valid key?

I was in a very "official" group that had been around for years so I have complete faith that I will get a working key. If I don't they can delete the giveaway and I will move on with my life :P

You do realise you can buy keys whenever you want? Well normally buy it within the 7 days unless you have an agreement like I do. Also with the next gift system on steam you wouldn't have a key when creating the giveaway. Just because you don't have a key doesn't mean you can't make a giveaway and give the game later.

As long as you can trust they will give you it I don't see a problem. I've done it before.

They will have the key but just when the game is released. They literally cannot give me it until it goes available for purchase. I really don't see your problem lol

That isn't the issue. It doesn't matter so much in this case as OP knows what the game is and could just use the search feature on the page to find the right game but I once won a giveaway that had been re-rolled four months after it had ended. In that case not knowing what the game was at the time I had to scroll through five pages of wins to find which one I hadn't marked as received.

I am aware of that but its just a quality of life thing so I don't need to click on page 2... Plus if it happens in the future I would like to have it!

Hahaha it was annoying for like 2 or 3 months but after that I just accepted it. Plus I've not been crazy active here as much so cut out a good 6 months of not having to look at it!

Oh seriously? I thought it was next month! Thanks man for letting me know :D

I thought January of this year and was like "whoa that's quite a while".
...then I read you meant January 2017. Jeeeez!

While I agree it would be a handy feature, I don't think many would even have a use for it as delivering a key usually won't take like, three years like in your case.

Lmao yeah someone else made the same mistake. I am a patient person lol

Yeah I just think it would be cool to have all the keys seperated. Plus just say someone wins something 7 days ago and they are super luck and win a bunch. Then redeem all the new ones but the giveaway they won 7 days ago is so far down the page, it saves from scrolling to get to the key etc.

Idk, its a tiny change but nice for a few people!

I've heard that someone received their gift 4 years after the GA ended. Turns out the GA creator completely forgot about the GA

More features are always better! But as Elunes pointed out I doubt few users would have much use for it, though I still support you! Also you're crazy patient, good for you! Also "!"'s are the best!!!

I honestly think it would look better also to have a seperate section normally also. Would make it look cleaner to seperate received keys with the unreceived at the top. Hahaha thank you, I just appreciate the chance to win free stuff and don't want to demand anything of anyone! Lmao I love shouting clearly ;)

That's true also, it would be a nice feature to have, even if it just looks nicer. Yeah, I'm the same as you in that regard. Ah no I mentioned the "!"'s because I literally ended every one of my sentences with it (you're still good), SO MUCH SHOUTING!!!
