Epic Banana-Steamgifts-Wuxia Themed Adventure Story Ch. 1 [11 GA inside] [ended]

Lately i've been reading quite a few of those wuxia stories originated from far east and as it turns out i've really liked them. I've been reading them past few months and just now i had a thought. What it would be like if i start an event based on wuxia style mixed with steamgifts and some random fruit? As my leeching point got around one hundred victories i think it's a good time to force myself again to giveaway few things for ya good people of steamgifts. As usual it wont be easy but this time i would like to take you all for a journey into the adventure you wont be able to forget. Longevity of this project will be in your hands because it's gonna be interactive story and the direction it will take will be based on polls and your suggestion in the comments.

Chapter 1
Introduction

In the continent of SalinGol the only thing that really matters is personal strength. Most of the population can only dream about achieving anything great. The truth is that majority of people just trying their best to survive as the wilderness is full of scary beast which will eat anybody who would be foolish enough to enter their territory. In the end mere mortals can only survive via protection offered by strong. Since the ancient times there were countless cities that gather strong communities inside them. Of course not everybody could afford to live in the city so if one was stupid or poor enough he could always count for small villages hidden from plain sight. They were usually established in places that are for some reason rarely visited by pack of beasts roaming through lands. Of course living in those kind of places was dangerous but also it could be said that it also bring more opportunities for its people. Many spiritual cultivators have their own secret places all around the world and after their death those places are just waiting to be robbed. In this era only strong people could unveil true secrets but luck was also needed.
Alride was a small village placed in middle of Forest of Shadows right next to the Moonlight Mountain. There was monetary system but the thing that was considered as truly valuable were bananas. Bananas were mythical fruits which contains special energy. After refining a banana cultivator could speed up process of their grow and establish a stronger fundament. To acquire them people put their lifes on the line but it was worth it as one banana fruit was equivalent of 3 year food expenses for a small family. There were a few legends saying that there are in fact some other spiritual fruits but most of those stories are already forgotten and covered by the dust of time. Of course not only humans could use the power of bananas and that is why only few strong people could go to gather them. The Forest of Shadows was filled with rats that were big as horses and their teeth could easily chew through steel. For them each banana was a deliciosity and it also strength up their spiritual foundation. Every 5 year young man and women from village could take their chances at special test and only then they could go to the Forest of Shadows in hope of finding bananas. Accidents happens every day but if everybody could go out there soon there would be nobody left in the village so the rules were created to prevent that. The day of the test was coming near.
In Alride even it has over seven hundred citizens only nine of them would attempt the test. Only those who stepped at the hard road of cultivation could have hope of surviving in the wilderness. Truthfully only 8 of them had any qualification as the ninth was son of village chief and he could try his luck only because of that reason. Usually the lowest point of passing the test was to have middle level of first stage Banana Spirit Power. As for chief son he had only beginner level and that did not change over the past years. One could said that if it wasnt for his family position he would be laughing stock of whole village as his talent was so low. Fellow cultivators had no regards for him at all. The art of banana collecting was all about agility and that was the part that was not a strong point of Lendo. One would usually climb at the top of the spirit tree and then carefully collected its fruits before the tree defence would attack the intruder. Unfortunately nature gifted Lendo with a body so fat that people called him a second mountain behind his back. After many tries Lendo understood that it was impossible for him to climb the spirit tree before it would hide its fruit and even his cultivation would not be able to help him. His father, former sage named Zelghadius, tried to help him but even after he acquired special medicine that would help to break bottleneck that his son was in it just not helped him at all. It was like a drop of water poured into the dried out lake. It was not normal but it could not be helped.
Each night Lendo sneak out of his house and go to his secret training place in the bushes behind his home. In secret Lendo was trying to find a new method for banana collecting and after many months of training he came up with somehow wicked skill that only he could do. He was calling his skill as Boar Strike. The user had to use his own body to crash at the spirit tree with all his might. Then the fruits would drop to the ground by themselves. The hard part was to catch a holy fruit before it hit the ground because by then it would lost all of its heavenly properties. After several thousand tries he finally succeeded in creating a perfect way to catch them all. It was only because of sage wisdom of his father he was able to complete his technique.
Yes. With this ability I will definitely pass this stupid test! he thought and right after that he passed out from fatigue.

It was the morning when the Village Chief has spoken to the people gathered at the city hall.
-- It's the day that many of you were waiting for. It is a great opportunity for our village and your success will become a success for as all!
Hearing those words few people cheered loudly and soon everybody start clapping. Chief seeing the reaction of his people smirked and raised his right hand in the air.
-- For this day our brightest talent were training since they were little and today i'll present to you our finest people. The hope for our future.
After his words from the door behind his back emerged 9 young children. The oldest Lau was 16 years old and it was his second try at the test and the youngest was a young blond girl with liked to call herself Delta and had only ten years old at the moment. After their name was called they step out on the stage and said their greeting for the people. Everything went quite normal until Chief called on the stage girl called Kaese. She was 15 years old and was a true beauty queen in this village. Every man would jump into fire if he knew that would give him any chance at spending some time with her. She walked on the stage knowing exactly what power she has over men and said:
-- Please rub my belly – and then with a lovely smile she bowed to the people.
Lendo was startled at her behaviour and asked quietly: What does she thinking? Rub your what...? But af it turns out the girl had very good hearing so she answered immediately:
-- Looking at you I think you know what a belly is.
Lendo turn red on his face and gathered people burts into laughter. Other younglings look at him with ridicule feeling in their eyes and few of them laught at his face. Lendo was 13 years old but his physique was rather simlar to adult or even two adults combined into one. Lendo did not react at all at their taunts and stood there waiting for his chance to prove himself. As it was his turn to present himself he just mumbled something under his nose and nod his head to the crowd. Nothing could stop him from realising his dream – becoming a true Banana Spirit Master.
As the presentation of this years participants came to the end someone else got to the stage. It was master of village cultivators. If one would have to look at him even just for a second he would have to admit that this teacher was kinda odd. Lamaus was a former soldier from imperial army but as he got wounded and fired from the line of duty he began to drown himself in a sea of alcohol. Even as an alcoholic cripple he was still stronger then anyone in the village so his position as a estemed teacher was untouchable. After he got on the stage he only scratched his butt and said:
-- Now to the testing part.
