And this is the hiphop version of Spinal Tap no one ever heard of, it was hilarious when I saw it 678 years ago
Me and my roommates rented it once, yes I'm that old.

I am going to look into this movie, thanks for sharing!

As soon as I saw the topic title, I also thought
It is absolutely fantastic! Now, if someone here decides to watch it, here is a suggestion:
Skip the initial 30 second monologue (that is, fast forward a little until you see the title of the movie).
Really, this monologue spoils so much of the story, it is ridiculous! It was placed there not by the director or the writer, but by movie executives that were afraid people would be confused by the plot... Yep, they decided to explain almost all of the movie in the first 30 seconds, destroying any chance of the viewer piecing things together him/herself, and actually inserting a plot hole in the process.
P.S.: There is a "director´s cut" version, but I have not seen it -- does it delete this monologue?

The other movies you mention are fantastic too. Chidlren of Men has this incredible, exhilarating long shot that I never forget. Eternal Sunshine is also fantastic, but I guess it is not so underrated, it did get great reviews.
The last one... I do not know it, so I guess you just gave me a great recommendation of something to watch. :D

Better than the original that for sure.
I think it was well received general and there's still plenty of people who still enjoy it, although it's not hard when most of this movies end up being tamed down
Considering it shares the same plot as the Raid, i guess it did turn out to be better than i was expecting

Was thinking the same thing.. saw in in the theater on a whim.. such a strong set of ideas and visuals to match.
Always felt the voice acting could have been better if they didn't opt for actors and went with real voice artists.. but then i feel that way about any animation really.

The director of the Psycho remake, Gus Van Sant, actually had some very noble goals in making it. He wanted to see how closely he could replicate Psycho, waste as much studio money as he could, and ensure that no one else would ever touch Hitchcock's films again, and he basically succeeded on all three fronts. I don't believe a single other Hitchcock film has been remade yet, and that's mostly because of the Psycho remake. Gus sacrificed his Hollywood career to make it, and now he's back to directing art films like he wanted.

In Bruges (2008) for example
And yeah "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" great movie. And this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pFLw5YuDP8 is just sooo.. :'(((

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - the first time that I watched I didn't like it, then I watched again and I loved it.
Children of Men - I stoped watching on the middle of the movie, I found too boring, I may give another try.
The Man from Earth - great movie indeed.
Dark City - downloading right now :P
I could add Amélie to that list, I never see people talking about this movie, it's one of my favorite.

Wow, great taste in films :)
If you like The Man From Earth (one of my favourite films) then I highly recommend Coherence:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2866360/
I'd recommend not reading too much about it beforehand though, as it could easily be spoiled. But it has several similarities to The Man From Earth (extremely low budget sci-fi, mostly about characters in one small room, etc). It's the best film I've seen in a long time and certainly the best sci-fi film in years.
Some others:
London To Brighton
Gritty/dark British crime film. Similar to This Is England I guess.
The Station Agent
I guess it's a story about loneliness/isolation? Is nice in a strange way though. Stars Peter Dinklage from Game of Thrones.
The Last Stand
It seemed most people ignored this one but it's a solid action film and a good return for Arnold. Think it appealed to me more than a lot of modern action films because a lot of the stunts are real, etc and I don't remember a lot of garish CGI.
Eastern Promises
Not sure if it meets the description, but it always feel underrated or at least an 'unknown' film to many.
The Straight Story
Just a really, really nice film and a stark contrast to David Lynch's other films. It's rated well but it seems like barely anyone has actually seen it.
Another Earth
A very interesting, low budget sci-fi.
I, Origins
Same director as Another Earth and very similar in theme (I guess you'd call it "cerebral sci-fi")

I was about to same much the same about Another Earth.. I wanted to love it so bad.. it's good but lacks something.. maybe editing or pace or more depth.. it really feels like it's asking some big questions but no-ones exploring them. If that really happened wouldn't people be talking about it more.. felt like it could have done more with the idea and without spending cash on it.

Nah I agree, Another Earth was good but not on the level of some of the others mentioned here. A solid 7/10 for sure.
I, Origins is much of the same I felt. It has interesting ideas and it's well made, but it doesn't quite ever become really amazing. Still, these kind of films are so rare that I like to watch them anyway.
I meant to say Moon in my original list, but judging by the other sci-fi films you've seen I imagine you must have seen it? If not, you definitely should :) Also, another more recent one - Predestination. I kind of have mixed feelings about it, some of it is really good, some not so much. But again, it's quite a rarity to see this kind of film these days so it's worth a watch!

Let's be honest, Frozen was the most overrated movie of all time

All film in your topic wonderful (especially 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' and 'The Man from Earth', in my taste).
Hmm, "..films that you consider underrated". I think it's will be 'Cloud Atlas' (no comments) and 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World' (yeah, exactly, I think that this film is not to be taken literally and that he reveals the other side of the "relationship" faced by each of us).

Contact, Love and another drugs, The Prestige, Interstellar, okey that's it I think
Those are part of my favourite movies but nobody have seen or liked it

yeah, but not here in my country, if it's not Fruious / nobody go to cinema

interstellar is neither underrated, nor overrated, like some people say. It's exactly appraised at its value: a good and interesting film, just not great and most certainly not living up to the enormous hype it had.

I like Nolan´s movies but they are extremely overrated

was Castaway on the Moon badly received or something? its a very well known movie from South Korea, maybe not has much as Oldboy but still...its a classic

8.2 on imdb , 4.3/5 RT ,most people call it a masterpiece

Ok...I'm gonna name a few older stuff.
Johnny Got His Gun Young soldier loses all his legs, arms, eyes, ears, mouth...yet he remains conscious....
Where the Buffalo Roam Semi-biographical film based on the experiences of gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson. Bill Murray in a starring role...great comedy. :)
Out of the Blue Rebellious teen growing up in a world of punk and drugs...her father is an ex-convict who happens to be a dick. Budget movie by Dennis Hopper
Barfly Semi-autobiography of poet/author Charles Bukowski during the time he spent drinking heavily in Los Angeles. Imho best Mickey Rourke's starring role performance.

Blue Ruin was such an incredibly good flick. Was mildly interested by the trailer, gave it a whirl and was pretty much floored. Awesome revenge flick if you're not into the "kill everybody in my way without reloading because they killed my goldfish" type revenge flicks.

Nirvana, despite the main character is Christopher Lambert the movie is not very popular.
From IMDb: Jimi, a successful computer game designer, finds that his latest product has been infected by a virus which has given consciousness to the main character of the game, Solo. Tormented by the memory of his fled girlfriend Lisa and begged by Solo to end its useless "life", Jimi begins a search for people who can help him both to discover what happened to Lisa and to delete his game before it is released.
So fkin yeah, a game character that is fully aware of itself and that he lives in a video game!
Disclaimer: it has been a long time since I watched this movie.

In no particular order
:
The Boondock Saints - most incredible vigilante movie ever, makes most comic book movies about vigilantes look like garbage, even the O.K .ones like Kick-Ass and The Punisher (Tom Jane version). probably the only things i could ever compare it with are Tim Burton's Batman and Chris Nolan's The Dark Knight.
Watchmen - another vigilante movie, this time straight from the pages of a comic-book. I really don't know why this movie didn't get the praise it deserved. I love dark and fucked up in the head movies like this. And Roarshack...BEST VIGILANTE EVER.
Batman (1989) - I know...last vigilante movie, I promise. I really love this movie, it's the best Batman movie to date. I do love The Dark Knight too, don't get me wrong, but Nolan's trilogy as a whole is fucking overrated and Batman is at least 2 times better than 2/3 of it, if not even better than the aforementioned TDK itself.
The Last Samurai - I know it was well received and all, but that movie's a fucking masterpiece, one of the best IN HISTORY. So it wasn't well received enough
Oblivion - I really cannot find any faults to this movie, i cannot for the love of me understand why people didn't like it. it's the movie that got Tom Cruise acting well again and didn't feature all his "Cruise-isms", like his trademark, creepy stalker, pedophile rapist smile.
Elysium - critics loved it, but everyone else seems to not, including its director. WHY???? It's brilliant!!! Only faults I could find with this movie were that all the poor people left on Earth seemed to be Latino, which is a little racist, and that Matt Damon (most Caucasian guy in the world) was cast as a Latino guy (but his performance was great, nonetheless), minor gripes, really. Well, maybe Jodie Foster's accent too :-p.
Star Trek Into Darkness - 2013 really was the year of underrated sci-fi movies(as well as two shitty sci-fi movies), for some reason. REALLY...fan-boys need to shut up once and for all, cause this is a really nice summer-blockbuster action movie, pretty well written, almost impeccably acted and did not deserve all the hate it got (fuck you all, stupid fan-boys, the old Star Trek franchise is 70% garbage).
Star Wars Episode III Revenge of The Sith - not as bad as people say, A LOT better than the first two prequels, even if still not nearly on par with the original trilogy. I found myself liking it a lot, to my huge surprise, given the god-awful, almost unwatchable previous movie that was Attack of the Clones, which made me lose all hope for this trilogy.
Man of Steel - adding another to the list of 2013 underrated movie. It's not as great as I thought it would be, but it's not half as bad as people say it is either.
Darkman - what is up with me and vigilante movies in this list? This is Liam Neesons very first attempt at branding himself as an action star, way back in 1990, 11 years prior to the The Phantom Menace and almost twenty before his successful one in Taken. Many people haven't even heard of this movie. I seriously recommend checking it out. It has everything you'd want from a vigilante movie: it's dark, depressing, violent, has a perfect revenge story, a great lead...just awesome.
Just Go With It - Adam Sandler has become a joke nowadays, but this movie is surprisingly watchable, made me chuckle a few times
Rush - pretty well received, sure, but HELL, this was actually the best movie of 2013 and got overshadowed by movies such as Dallas Buyers Club and Gravity. Now, I'm not saying those are bad movies, far from it, and 2013 had some other incredible movies such as Captain Phillips, The Wolf of Wall Street and 12 Years a Slave, but Rush is really something else. I just can't explain how good this movie is. You have to see it, to understand.
Warrior - how did this movie not get an Oscar? Tell me, cause I sure as hell can't understand it. It's basically Rocky, but much more brutal, with not just one, but THREE incredible performances and with Jennifer Morrison as the ultimate eye-candy. Damn...
Equilibrium - not the most brilliantly executed idea, but what an in credible and original idea it was. Maybe more so than The Matrix This movie did not deserve to be so overlooked.
Robin Hood (2010) - I'd say it's better than the one with Kevin Costner
Dredd 3D - a little tight on the budget, but has almost everything one would want form a Judge Dredd movie
The Raid 2 - you REALLY have to watch this movie, I just can't describe it. Anyone that hasn't watched it by now...GO WATCH IT THIS INSTANT!!!!
Moneyball - one of Brad Pitt's best movies and that's say A LOT
I could go on for ages, but I think I'll stop here.

Aequitas et Veritas. En nomen de pater, filii et spirit sancti. Amen. Requiescat in pace. The fact that they prayed for the people they killed was fucking hilarious, especially if you're an atheist like me. That movie is fucking AWESOME!!!!!! I put it number 19 on my top 20 best movies of all time. It has so much going for it I can't even decide what I like most about it: the writing, the storytelling, the direction, the dialogue, the humor, the brutal action scenes, the characters and the acting (gay WIlliem Defoe, the brothers and their banter, David della Rocco and how perfectly he played the total idiot role, Billy Connelly being a total bad-ass), the Irish and Italian accents...EVERYTHING...

Equilibrium

I just watched it again recently and I'm happy that I still like it a lot. It's an interesting movie for the ideas involved. The action scenes are great but few. I'm sure a lot of people were bored because the charcters are not emotive (well, they have to be because of the plot!) and the scenery is blah gray. But it's worth it for the gun kata battles!
