This is a Chinese-produced galgame. It seems to be ridiculously underpriced, and is on sale for 40% off at the moment.

Also, some other games released by the publisher are on sale (different developers)

A Chinese Visual Novel‽

I love VN's and already bought my copy. :)

I saw this earlier today and was wondering what the catch is xD

1.2 euros for a 25-30 hour long visual novel with good artstyle seems weird as hell. Don't know how the translation holds up, but I think I'll manage to survive if it's not optimal at this price point :x

Is it really that long?

Funny, now that you asked I went to check again and I have no idea where I read that - I guess it was in one of the top reviews at some point since I can't find it in the discussion.

Anyway, considering it's ~35$ in China (not the steam version), it should definitely be quite long.

Edit: Also, if this part is true

But with an incredible 1-million-word script

Then it's basically as long as Grisaia no Kajitsu, which takes about 50+ hours to read through.

Eh, I like VNs and anime girls so bought both Tricolor and Killing Time

Edit: The only thing I hate is both advertise badges yet there appear to be none.

Cards probably haven't started dropping yet due to Steam's relatively new policy.

Dev comments I've seen imply that you can't even add cards til your game reaches whatever these new metrics are.

I know, this is one of my major pet peeves: game developers shouldn't be allowed to list cards as a feature UNTIL they reach that metric since there is no promise that metric will be reached.

It's advertising a feature that may very likely never actually happening and that's false advertising to me.

False Advertising

That's a pretty exaggerated attribution. If the devs have implemented the feature, then they have the right to advertise that fact (as it's a relevant purchase consideration). Blame Steam for not providing a framework within which to make distinctions of status more clear. False advertising would be them explicitly stating that cards are guaranteed, or are already droppable- not that the game has trading card support available.

Given that the game in question explicitly states "Trading cards: According to new policy of Steam, trading cards will be available when the quantity of copies of game sold reachs a certain amount.", there's not even a fault of omission.

Finally, I'm only addressing developer comments within their description, above- as far as the equally ambiguous sidebar-listed "Steam Trading Cards"? As far as I'm aware, that's automatically added by Valve, when the Trading Cards are uploaded and approved for the specific game. So again, something to take up with how Valve handles things.

I want to believe it can be a good VN, but I have low trust in the publisher who only published almost-hentai titles.
(Only Hell Girls seems to be a good game).

Before that, the main issue is the publisher makes shitty Engrish translation for almost every single release.

I want to be excited but SakuraGame just releases terrible machine translations. You might not regret spending a dollar on it for pretty (lewd) pictures and cards, but the "novel" part of visual novel won't be very enjoyable.

This pub exploits Japanese doujin games as I heard. They spam every devs they see on the local store and get contracts and translate the games terribly to release on steam.
And this nice VN shouldn't be this cheap. I'm afraid they can't raise enough money they deserve to develop the next nice VNs, only used for advertisement by the pub.
