CowOfDarkness recently added me and sent a gift link for uhm... Narcissu and when I said that I was very grateful but would probably end up buying the bundle because of all the DLC he sent the link for the Season Pass as well, that's like $30 on Steam.
I still managed to excuse myself from accepting the gifts in a, hopefully, respectful way and I strongly suspect they made some other steam-gifter happy :)

or really good if you flip it beacause I won/was given most of the stuff I had been entering loads of GA's for. (both puzzle agent's for instance)
by sheer number all thats left would probably be anna's quest. but that's only at 44
everything else is just not given away enough for me to consider it being failing.
(actually if it counts I entered a 5 copy giveaway of neir with like 40 entries and failed that...if we are going by luck and not sheer numbers)

sometimes you want a higher quality game for an event reward.
sometimes you give away games you want cause you know you won't get around to playing them anytime soon and want to give someone else a chance instead of adding it to your backlog.

I just enter giveaways for bundle stuff that looks good and I've missed in the past. I might once in a while enter a giveaway for a "high profile" game but that's really uncommon. I'm thinking of switching strategies to what seem to be the most common though, only entering for really high profile and expensive stuff :P
Edit: I now realize that I didn't even answer OP question. I have the most trouble winning giveaways with a lot of entries. There :P

He can't. He lost his job a couple of years ago and just had to put in major car repairs this month so he needs what he has to live on.
