Sadly,haven't watched Ex Machina
and I didnt like Whiplash all that much
I get the point and all but I think the movie made himself look a bit weird and over the top by using certain things which I found silly(like throwing A CHAIR at someone because he didnt play well or on tempo...)

Whiplash is HANDS DOWN the best movie of 2014. It's almost as good as 2013's Rush, but not quite there.

Well, then of course don't watch just 7 one. You gotta know the whole story, even though many say that it's just racing, no storyline I think totally different. Last parts may have too much explosions, un-physical reactions and all, but it's still good idea to watch it. They also did a beautiful tribute for Paul Walker.

The Fast and the Furious movies are stupid, but largely enjoyable. They're basically the automotive movie equivalent of kung-fu movies. 1 was better than it seemed like it should've been, 2 was bad, Tokyo Drift (3rd movie) was really bad. Fast & Furious (4th) was good, only in comparison to 2 & 3. 5 & 6 were both a lot of fun.

I watched in shitty quality and all... In a theater of course, winkwink, and it was still worth it. Can't wait to rewatch it on DVD.

That's good info. I can always rewatch it on Blu-Ray, and I've always meant to checkout a movie at this place. Its a huge former poorhouse that was converted into a bunch of separate bars, all with their own feeling, and one of them is a theater that serves food and alcohol. its a really neat place.

Treat yourself, mate! I know I would definitely do it. Sounds like a good experience plus like I said: This movie is awesome.
We have something similar in bigger theaters where you can order food and drinks while watching a movie but it's expensive as fuck. I think you'd easily spend 100€ if you get the tickets and order food and drinks while watching.

Oh, we have a high-end place like that a bit aways, but it never really seemed worth the cost, unless I had an interesting date.
The place nearby is great, but the prices are much more reasonable. More like normal brewpub prices.
In the 70's, a pair of brothers started a pub, and eventually expanded it into a little empire. Their whole thing is taking old buildings with varied histories and turning them into nice brewpubs and/or hotels. In addition to the poor house (and outbuildings), they've also taken over things like an elementary school that the city closed.
Here's a like to the poorhouse one: http://www.mcmenamins.com/Edgefield

The website has some 90s nostalgia haha, but the locations sure look pretty interesting! And when the prices are average it's definitely worth doing.
I took a look at the cinema locations and they all look pretty nice, although it kinda sucks when all the seats are on one level. Must suck to be in the last row.

Yeah, that website has had that look for a while. Going for a modern retro kind of thing, which I guess works for them, since all of their building are old and re-purposed. Still, its a bit odd to look at compared to modern web design.
It doesn't look like all of the seats are on the same level, unless you saw a different picture than I:

Stardust!!! I could tell you it's an epic fantasy With swashbuckling, fallen stars, witches, flying ships, and pirates or I could just say it's got Robert De Niro in drag (That alone makes it epic)!

None of these are new. They're from 2014. That means they're relatively recent, not new :-p. New movies are the ones from the current year. Watch Avengers Age of Ultron, Mad Max Fury Road, Ex Machina and Spy. These are the best movies so far this year. Oh, and...stay far away from Chappie, Insurgent and Fifty Shades of Grey. They're SHIT, especially the last one.

I watched Ex Machina last night. Sadly; ending was very predictable.

Still a very good tackle on the subject of AI. A lot better than Spielberg's attempt, that's for sure. Or the Neil Blomkamp's recent one, the aforementioned Chappie. Which sucked donkey balls. And a predictable ending is preferable to a soap-opera one. Which is what the two of them leaving together and being happily ever after would have been. Plus, it made no sense for an emotionless, deceptive, lying, manipulative AI, governed only by rational thought to behave in such a manner. Would have completely ruined the movies. Fight Club's ending, after the big reveal, was pretty predictable too. Didn't make the movie any less genius.

Jesus, Chapie's such a piece of shit. I can't believe it was directed by Neil Bomkamp...a disgrace to his career. Watch Ex Machina: same theme and subject, MUCH BETTER TREATED.

[SPOILER!!!!!] Was it only me, or nobody else understood "It follows"?. But at least it delivered, what it promised. A man/woman was following the girl the entire time. No sotry, no jumpscares, nothing which would make sense. It was the most boring "horror" film I've ever seen. [SPOILER END]
I'd recommend The Babadook if you'd like to watch a horror film.

Not your kind of movie per list but:
Ted 2
is mindlessly funny. (especially if you know pop culture references)

It looks like I'm gonna have some time next week and would like to watch some good movies. Recently I watched The Hobbit 1-3, The Maze Runner, Exodus, Now You See Me, Age of Extinction, Hercules, Planet of the Apes, Interstellar, 47 Ronin, Edge of Tomorrow, X-Men Days of Future Past, and probably a few more I can't recall now. What do you recommend?
Categories: action, adventure, comedy, but feel free to recommend anything that is really good.
