Last time I went to McDonald's was to use the toilet, had to buy tea and use the receipt to get in to the loo (was in Krakow I think). Not been before that for maybe 10 years :)

Wow! That is pretty lame! Here in Canada, they cannot refuse you using their bathroom unless you purchase something. Sometimes you have to use the facilities, and there is no where else to go!
I would probably end up purchasing something after I was done, but I don't think it should be a requirement.

pay toilets are everywhere in Europe. Get free toilets in shopping centres (but they can be in a state, we had packs of tissues in our backpacks at all times). Have to say the pay toilets are 99% spotless as they have attendants cleaning and restocking all the time. Airport toilets, museum toilets are good too, but I got caught short this day, lol.

I can see having some pay toilets in certain locations, but not at fast food places and the like. It's not like people have a choice in the matter as to whether they have to use the bathroom or not!

One McDonalds in Berlin had no toilets at all, they were on the outside of a shopping centre so customers were expected to go there. They also had no internet, which was the main reason we hit that shop, lol. Crab sandwich looks tasty though, just not sure it is worth $9 USD

I've had it once. It's okay, but nothing super spectacular.
And since I don't own a mobile phone, the fact that a place doesn't have internet doesn't bother me.;) LOL!

I don't purchase "premium" items at fast food places very often. If it is a new item, and I have the spare funds, I will try it out once. For example, I have tried the Lobster Sub at Subway a total of one time. It is far too expensive for me to get it all the time. And I actually lucked out that time. Their promotion was ending, and I got the last bit of lobster. It was a nice full-to-the-brim sub! Yummm!

Last time I went, was probably 18 years ago. Never liked it, but my parents used to take my brother, and I had to go too. However, I only ordered sweet things, like ice cream or similar to apple/bannana pies.

Apparently McDonald's is trying to expand their demographics. I mean, seriously who would buy the $9 Crab Sandwich on a regular basis? I'm pretty sure people would only get it once as a novelty item. I guess they were successful in getting me to come, though :P (I go to McD on average like once every 2 years...)
