How much will you be Guilty of spending on this bundle?

[Tier 1] I never bought into the non-stop Arc System Works bundles over at Fanatical.
[BTA] The 1998 original was missing from my collection.
[Tier 3] Last night, a REVELATOR appeared in my sleep and commanded me to go all-out.
[Maybe] Give me a SIGN, I don't know which tier to buy.
[Have] Thanks to Fanatical's many bundles and lootboxes filled with everything Arc System Works can cook up, I gotz 'em already!
[Skip] 2D fighters are so 1991.
[Complaint] What exactly is this new HB design? For the XRD time, different doesn't mean better.

ugh this update is truly horrid...

Also pass on bundle.

And the BTA rounding is sometimes off... BTA 7,10 have to pay 7,12... I feel like I'm cheated there...

The new design is truly atrocious. I need to compare different settings to figure out what belongs to which tier. Why did they need to change what was already properly working?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I thought the change is quite good - easy to see what's going on, and at least you can adjust sliders properly again.

You could properly adjust sliders with the old design too. My main complaint is that I can't immediately see which item belongs to each tier. Especially if there is a lot of items, they just pile up on higher price settings.

Yeah - you see what you're getting for the money, but you don't see what extra you're getting for paying that tier, and not one lower.

Yes, exactly. I hope they return that option soon.

Technically it says how many items are in a tier, and the difference is the current-top-tier's content, always at the top of the list.

I expected them to start a new row with a new tier, but as the Bandai Namco bundle shows, it's not the case.
Generally it seems to be very manageable with 5-ish items in a tier. With the Pathfinder bundle's 20-item tiers it's horrible, you have to count the 20 items to know where the tiers separate.

That Pathfinder bundle gets to some true dark patterns...

Specially how small the highest tier with physical item has the small print...

Im not sure if I dont understand what you ment. But the games for each tier is literally on separate rows depending on which tier you get. Or what exactly do you mean?

With different number of items it gets annoying...

Checked it out in the meanwhile - it's accidental with this bundle. Bandai's have only 2 games in tier 3, but they didn't start tier 2 in a new row.
https://www.humblebundle.com/games/bandai-20
but anyway, with the standard 1-5 games in a single tier it's not an issue besides being weird at first, as I wrote it here

Sure, but I still dont understand how its hard to see when the added games is added in the beginning. Like with bandai example if one tier is 7 and the next is 9, then the two first game is added :)

Edit: Didnt seem to read good. Missed that you mentioned 20 item in the example :)

Don't really know what to say to this. Is it hard? No. Did they change the clear look that they had on a single page? Yes.
it's not hard, but you need to compare two numbers, then count down their difference in the game list.
We use non-math and nonverbal info - paragraphs, indentation, empty space, colours, font size and style. And all out of this, they chose nothing.

At least it's on the top so easier to find, but it is a (small) step backwards in site readability.

Yeah, seen it after I posted mine. Aaad in the meanwhile HB posted a Rising Storm bundle with 10 items in tier 3 :D
It's really just a "come on guys, you can do better" level of complaining from my part. I will live ;)

I kinda like the new design but agree on the tier division. Hopefully they will adjust that based on user feedback (given there is enough backlash in regards to this).

Same, I like some parts of the update but dislike others. TBH as long as the sliders are there it doesn't matter too much

Such darn confusing names, why not Guilty Gear 1, 2, 3, 4 etc?

Also with GUILTY GEAR XRD -REVELATOR- DELUXE still 6 DLC not included.

Because then you would easily know what order to play them in. They make you work for it instead

I mean, when you have stuff like The Need for Speed, Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Need for Speed, it really makes confusing sometimes.

I had the original Guilty Gear on the PS1, NON import, a month before we got it here in the US. Brought it to the game stores where I was friends with the managers. Needless to say, they got a LOT of pre orders there.

I want it back but I don't need the rest as I have all of it.

New design makes it hard to see what belongs to each tier so I have to swap between all three just to see what the tiers actually are...
Definitely just going to use Shakti's posts from now on.

Well, this new layout sucks balls. I hate it when something that is working perfectly well gets replaced with something much inferior. Instead of having the tiers at a single glance they now make me press buttons to have the same information. Humble gets less and less appealing by the week.

I'm usually for a change, never really bother updates to facebook, to steam, to youtube.. I either liked them or considered the changes to be so insignificant that I didn't even pay attention.... but this........ damn, now it looks like some kind of cheap bundle knockoff site which was thrown together overnight.
Payment settings all stretched on one side leaving 60% of the page empty is just huge fuck up (at least on smaller screens) and that switching between tiers is just confusing. Moving games around without reason. Enormous downgrade compared to previous version.

Skip for me, I own Xrd and never touched it (yet). I don't care for the classics, and paying for DLC for a game I'm not sure I'll enjoy is a bit meh.

Are they weighting the BTA to the full bundle price now? I find it very hard to believe there are more than a few dozen people who don't already have most of these, and there's literally nothing in this bundle worth more than $2-3 on the grey market (or in many cases the white market). How is the BTA $9.44?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I've noticed that too. Every bundle over the last two months have had the BTA basically the same as the third tier price. I call BS. BTA has steadily been ~60% of tier 3 cost for years.

I'm guessing most of the people buying this are going for tier 3, as the games in Tier 1 ave been bundled so often before.
