On my iPod Touch I accidentally dropped it and when I plug in any headphones or earbuds it only comes out of one ear(left). I have to bend it a cerain way then hold it for it to come out and it comes out of both; but I have to hold it. It's been like this for a month; and sometimes I watch movies on my iPod and it's seriously become super annoying.

So i'm wondering if there is an adapter on Amazon that will make it come out of both sides. You're probably wondering how the crap that is possible; well it could just duplicate the sound from the left to the right; and help is appretiated; thanks. By the way; my headsets are fine; it's just the audio output jack on my iPod; and it will cost way to much money to fix and i'm not under warranty (iPod 1g)

If you're not afraid of a little DIY maybe try this? I don't know of anything that'll do what you suggest.

were the earbuds plugged in when you dropped it? Have you tried another set of headphones maybe the jack is just bent or you broke the wire(inside the case) right at the base or something(sounds like that sort of thing if holding it a certain way makes it work again)

it might not be a problem with your ipod at all I mean, so hopefully yes and hopefully it was the headphones. those are more cheaply replaced

edit- missed the "btw headsets are fine"
somebody else like you but getting answers
this seems like the answers you wanted
edit-
also here, found a 2 eared mono headphonesits $4 but I don't know this site, it atleast proves the products exist and gives you something to search for through
edit- don't buy it though, apparently thats bad for your ipod "If you plug a Mono Headphone into a Stereo Jack, you may hear audio in both ears, but you are shorting one of the stereo signals to ground and could damage the device you are listening to" I don't know enough to say how much is "just in case million to 1 covering ass" and how much is actually a problem(also it sounds like it might just double up one ear or something so you'd lose things that were only on one side..what if the side it doubles is the side thats broken?) so it might be fine, hopefully somebody who can actually help replies.
it sounds like an alternative is going into itunes and changing all the songs on your ipod to mono (but that sounds annoying to do individually)
