Problem with Saints Row IV. My game freezes on the credits screen

Hello,

I've been playing Saints Row IV. When I can play, the game works fine, but I use to have problems starting the game. After the short videos, when I am in the black screen with the credits, my game freezes. And this is very annoying.

When this happens, I verify the cache of the installed files, but this only works sometimes, so… other times, I can't even play a single minute :(

I have a PC with W7. Any clue, guys? Thanks!

Specs of your PC? It's probably having issues starting the game up cause of background programs, loading all the files needed to run the game, etc.

do you use ratpr or xfire? ive noticed some games dont work correctly when those programs are running

Can be corrupted DirectX installation, I guess. Or any of a million other possible issues.

Thank you all, I finally checked the "windowed" option but I chose the resolution of my screen, and it worked nicely (for now, I hope forever). Sorry for my late response!
