Interesting, thanks for the news :)
Since I don't know whether I can link the source, you can google information about this :-)
TQAE is a scam. they unlisted the original game along with its reviews and forums and released an expansion for AE so owners would have integrated ads all over the game, including paywalled loot. they don't deserve any money (but should pay compensations for the customers they wronged, but it won't happen because game publishers get a free pass at scamming everyone)
Integrated ads? Paywalls? Are you sure you are playing the same game as the rest of us? Or are you talking about the mobile version?
Paywalled loot is more of, you can get DLC loot as drops, but cannot use them unless you buy said DLCs.
So sell it to the merchants. Or wait for a sale and buy the DLC's. They ARE worth it. The drops are a minor inconvenience.
Or if you don't like the drops then simply don't play the game. It's like an online comic strip I read every day. People do nothing but bash the author. If you don't like it, then simply DON'T READ IT!
So if you don't like a minor thing like the drops, then simply DON'T PLAY IT! And move on with your life, or lack thereof one.
Karien didn't say anything bad about the DLCs, they simply offered an explanation and you react like this?
And move on with your life, or lack thereof one.
And move on with your life, or lack thereof one.
Considering you're having an unjustified mini tantrum, maybe you should take your own advice.
I have MANY games I can whine like that about, but I don't. I move on to another.
I could go on over Fallout New Vegas, s an example, of how I thought it was a flaming piece of crap. Didn't even have the atmosphere of a Fallout game. But I won't.
Sure... but it's the Internet. People will voice their opinion whether you like it or not. I can understand if you're tired to see people always bashing something you like... but that's life. You choose to not waste energy on something you didn't appreciate? Good for you. Some people choose to vent out. I guess you could also choose to not look at the negative comments instead of telling people how they should behave.
It's not just thing I personally like. It's just a generalization.
Yeah, I figured... the spoiler tags were not supposed to imply that you're only irritated when you see people trashing something you like. I wanted it to read as "bashing something / bashing something you like", to reflect both possibilities. I should just have said "bashing something that you may or may not like". It would have been clearer that way. O_o
I agree, I probably worded that a little wrong. Sorry about that.
Calm down? No need to be such a fanboy.
Who decides if it is worth it or not? Or who decides if the inconvenience is minor or not?
As long as people like you give courage to the greedy devs/publishers, they will keep pushing more and more. Stop being fanboy, punish greedy attempts.
Sorry if I offended but I'm getting tired of people that hate for the sake of hating. Not everything is out to get you.
It is not hate for the sake of hating. I think it is a fairly legit reason.
Imagine you get a box of apples in real life. But when you open the box, you realize that red apples have "you can't eat until you buy "red apple" pass. Wouldn't you say "fuck that"?
I know this is all digital and not as bad as apples, but as long as you keep credit these attempts like they are totally normal, it will get worse.
The worst part is that they could have just NOT dropped DLC gear on the base game if you lack the DLCs like most other games. They did it to push DLC sales by pushing the whole, you lose out on drops if you don't pay them more.
If you don't own the DLC then they shouldn't drop at all.
If I remember, it was some kind of bug they were never able to fix.
I was just being blunt and explaining it. It is, however, shitty behaviour from the 'new' devs but its their choice. They could have chose to just add the DLC drops IF you have the DLCs and not drop them if you lack the DLCs, but THQ greed is expected. I have a physical copy of the game+original expansion from before THQ bought it out so the new ver is eh tbh. And yes, I have the base ver before they gave it away as well. And how can you say that someone don't like the game if you don't know them anyway? I DID enjoy it when it first came out btw.
Forums for the old version are still up
AE is the combined version of TQ + TQ Immortal Throne, plus bug fixes.
Owners of the old version got AE for free, I cannot complain about this move, other publishers don't do this.
the forums being still available is irrelevant. they delisted them, and the recent, supported version receiving all the attention and exposition is in direct one-sided competition with them
AE is not just TQ + IT and bugfixes, it's TQ + IT + 2 more paywalled expansions and "bug fixes" if there's even any and unwelcomed changes to the base game, plus the expansions directly affect the base gold edition even if we didn't purchase them
Titan Quest is a nice arpg and anyone who's into this genre should definitely grab this. :) I've received this Anniversay Edition for owning the original game but never played. Maybe I should finally try it.
In Germany the event starts at 7 p.m. = 2 hours to go.
hello, do you have to have the game purchased to receive the new version? or are they giving away the new version?
According to what I've read you can pick up the above versions, regardless of whether you have the older version (I don't have an XD). Can I link the page here without getting any problems? Then I'll post the sources
I do not own the game, it only appears to me to buy it, that is, not for free
That's probably because the event hasn't started yet.
rightly so, then I wait for it to start, thank you very much Naza Sekh, what time does it start approximately, do you know? : D
