Is Steam logging you out all the time?

If you mean while surfing the website, no. But if you mean from a day to another, then yes.

For example, I'm logged in on the home, but if I try to see my inventory, it logs me out.

On a daily basis I use at least 3 computers and my phone all of which I am logged into steam app, steam website, and steam program. Logging into one from another seems to kick me off, not sure how similar this is to yours but I do get frustrated at times

I constantly get logged off from within the Steam client itself while just gaming or browsing the store. If I want to check my inventory, wishlist or achievements I have to click the little login at the top. It's tedious and sometimes doesn't even work. I do not use a VPN and I never multi-task by having myself logged into anything more than the client or browser at once. Nothing fixes it and it's been happening for over a year now.

It does. It also logs me back in if I wait for a minite or two, as I've found out accidentally.

No, but it logs me out every time I want to buy something. Weird business model for a game store.
During the previous sale steam also lost the contents of my cart that I've been accumulating over a few days. Saved me some money at least.

Steam as usual. That just randomly happens just like every other un- and imaginable bug they come up with especially during sales.

In a web browser, you have to lo log in every few weeks. A while back I kept getting logged out of the steam community or store pages every other day (one would work, the other wouldn't), but after deleting all Steam cookies and logging back in it's been fine since.

I've never been logged out of the client on my gaming PC though. I have a 2nd PC with Steam on it hooked up to my TV that I occasionally use for the in-home Streaming to play couch coop games. If I don't connect from that PC after a while, I have to log in on it again. My main gaming PC never has been logged out because I pretty much run Steam every day.

This happens to me periodically, but it's usually the result of:

  1. Steam system maintenance. On Tuesdays, for example, this can happen, and I have to learn to just stop trying to login for a few hours and come back later when they're finished.

  2. Logging in from multiple computers. If I'm logged in at home, go to work, login, and then come back home, usually, I'm logged out at home. If Steam detects logins from machines that are not on the same network, this can happen (doesn't happen when logging into multiple machines at home, because they are part of the same network).

  3. Damaged cookies. I've found that when having these sorts of problems, if I clear all Steam related cookies the problem goes away. Sometimes, the data stored in those cookies can get screwed up, and starting fresh solves the problem.
