I don't think that would work. And besides, it's just 20 points.

If you still have a copy, then no CV. No exceptions. I'm pretty sure contacting support doesn't / can't bypass that, since I've seen it as suggestions only, never support confirming it.

I see, a bit of a bummer... But just to clarify, if I had created a giveaway of FORGE before the bundle, would I lose my CV?

Based on creation date to my knowledge. If the bundle is confirmed but not yet available, worth doing a fast giveaway, but if it can already be purchased, forget it.

Sadly, the blame lies squarely at the feet of exploiters who create giveaways as soon as Groupees announce their next unlockable games etc, in an attempt to cheat CV for bundled games.
That's why you can't have nice things...

Even they leak it, it still doesn't make sense to block CV dumpers especially if the only means to get the game is through a tradeable item in your inventory while groupees hasn't started selling the soon to be bundled game (in key format)
They still technically must get the CV because they didn't get that game through the bundle promo

Starting giveaways for games that are known to come to a already opened bundle, that can make sense. Stops them from creating the giveaway, letting it end, then doing the gift after they get their bundle key.
But if they block anything known to come to a bundle before it is open for sale at all, the people wanting to ditch their items before then shouldn't be hit.

...or encourage collusion in feedback fraud and "incentives" for denoting a gift as tradable.
Never underestimate the lengths people will go in their efforts to abuse an abusable system, or how much of the mods' time will be wasted dealing with an unclear or flawed system :)

Well that's why I said up there previously in my post, Pretty much any changes to the system will be just increase the work for support. Also it will surely increase tickets about incorrect feedback for the winners (they picked key instead tradeable or vice versa). But pretty sure feedback abuse are easily detectable since it's will be mostly done on group/private.
I don't know what you mean by denoting tradeables as more preferable though. If the game ain't bundled then CV wouldn't differ for keys or gifts. Will only differ for bundled gifts.

...which is precisely where the incentive is, ergo it's exactly the situation where people will try and screw the system.
Feedback abuse easily detectable? I don't see that. Ultimately if someone is colluding, even if skullduggery is suspected, it's two users' word against what? A hunch? Perhaps winners of giveaways might be offered a "bonus" game to mark as a gift instead of a key, or may simply do it as a favour in a misguided display of gratitude. Unless you expect the mods to ask for, and check proof of purchase evidence (which could easily be mocked up in MS Paint) in every dubious scenario, I can't see what is stopping people cheating the system other than good old honesty and sense of fair play - qualities which are not evenly distributed amongst members of our species nor, one would suspect, among Steamgifts users...
This change would throw open the floodgates for abuse, and muddy the waters all round. Better for people just to accept that you won't get CV for a game once it shows up in a bundle. Yes it's sad, and yes it's slightly unfair, but IMHO it's a much better scenario for everyone than the abusefest which is the alternative.
:)

This is true. What I experience is if you list it the day the bundle starts even if it has not started yet you do not get CV for the game in question. So don't wait it seems a bundle comes out every few hours. lol
They are only trying too stop exploitation of the bundle. It does make sense. For them too see a gift or proof of retail would add too much overhead to their all ready over worked volunteers. Now I do not know what happens if you do a quick give away on the same day but that would end before the bundle goes on sale. I would surmise that no credit would be given for the system probably just marks a date a game is considered bundled and not the hour it starts.

Same; I have Amazon games that I have never even viewed the key. lol
It is too bad you can't turn keys into giftable copies on Steam. Still be no CV here but safer/easier too trade.

Now that FORGE was added in the bundle list, that means that my gift copy of the game wont contribute any CV, right? If so, can I contact Support to inform them that I have a gift copy to giveaway and get my CV?
