FarCryMeaRiver3 Dexlue Edition and other games

Is Far Cry 3 deluxe edition worth it? Also suggest some good game deals.
I am thinking to hold off on buying any major game for now until the steam sale, unless a really good deal comes by (wouldn't want to go on a spending spree and end up buying things that I normally won't.)

I can't find the thread, but when I was looking at it, the consensus seemed to be that the deluxe edition is not worth the extra money, but the base game is.
