Is it possible? I've accidentally removed wrong game which i have won long time ago here so naturally now i fail to pass sg-tools for unactivated wins :3

i believe not and on the SG side of things you probably have to create a ticket

Do it the same way you deleted it - search for the game in the support menu then pick the option that it's not in your library.

As far as I know you can only hide games but not delete them from your library?

You can delete them as well. Thought not recommended.

Oh. I didn't realize XD

I went looking through Steam Support and found the functionality just now. What a terrifying button to behold.

Not really, considering you can restore it at any time.

Bad for SG/SGTools though if you delete a win and forget to restore it.

Log into Steam > Help > Steam Support > Type the name of the game in (Search Issues, features and games) box

Select the relevant game
Sometimes it may be listed more than once, you may have to check. The correct version should show when you previously activated the game

It's not in my library > Restore the previously removed package to my account

DONE

Thank you, this worked. Thought SGtools still detects that game as unactivated. Resyncing sgtools didint help as well. Maybe i need to resync steamgifts as well? But i dont see how's steamgifts would be connected to this issue;.

Because SGTools data is cached and you have to wait for a while (preferably 30 minutes later)

Why the hell someone would delete games from steam library, when there is option to hide unwanted games?

Very odd reason when there's basically not any difference from just hiding the game

Edit: Well, in retrospect, it's just odd from my perspective. Maybe he didn't know how easy it is to restore games.

Well, if you're addicted it's very tempting to just unhide it. At least if you remove it it's a bit harder to get access to it again. Still, if you're really addicted, this won't really help either...

There is better ways to stop your gaming adiction. For example, you can sell your PC. In future if you decide to return to gaming, you can buy new PC and use your old steam account. Selling PC works better then deleting games, because buying one is much more expensive then a new copy of CS:GO.

As far-fetched as it may seem, people can use PCs for more than just gaming.

True. But you can still just sell your GPU.

When they're shitty bundle games that only fill your account with junk. At least that's what I did with a few games :)

Still, why just not hide it?

They still show up in your games list and give a +1. I only like to have games that I actually want to play.
But I know that most people do want that +1, so to each their own.

To have higher completion rates... by deleting unfinished games !

... or they don't want to show they own particular games... like Pedobear Studio Tycoon

It doesn't work like that as far as I know at least. Someone will probably correct me on this

One of the top collectors, I think he was in the top 15 at the time, deleted his entire account a few months back to stop his habit. Drastic times sometimes call for drastic measures.

While deleting seems silly to me, since it is just fancy hiding, I can understand why someone would do it. At the end of the game, it is their money so who cares :p.

Who was that, if you don't mind me asking?:)

Because Steams library sorting sucks. Personally, I hide games that I've beaten so I don't have to see them in grid view, but then I have nowhere to put junk games. I'll always see them in the main games grid view if I don't hide them, but if I hide them they'll be thrown into a category-less pile with all the games I liked enough to beat. Easier to just delete them.

Deleting Steam games is just fancy hiding. You can always recover them at a later point, though I'm not sure if the same extends to account deletions. In any case, I thought you would be the last one to be silly :p Yes I had to make that stupid joke someday

How can you delete a game from Steam? You may have gotten rid of it's contents but all you have to do is reload it.
