Maybe you would like to research a little more about how it works. I'll give you a hint where to focus: harmonic currents.

Hello guys!
After a very long wait, I finally have optical fiber installed at my home. I've 100mbps, much more than the 10mb I had with my old connection. However, my new router is next to the TV, in the living room, and my PC is in my bedroom, so it must be connected via wifi. And I lost a lot of mbs.
My brother and I have been thinking about buying a PLC, but we have a few questions about them. We've read the PLCs work better with no more devices in the same plug, but we don't have a free plug in the living room. If we use a PLC like this, with an incorporated plug, can we plug in it a power strip, or that will reduce the power of the connection?
On the other hand, time ago I've heard that it was not good to connect PLCs to a power strip since signal could be too weak to reach the other side. Is this right? I wonder if current PLCs have overcome this issue. Finally, do you suggest a specific brand? or a brand not to buy?
Thank you all!
