sorry if this is not allowed but i thought i would ask any way

i was wondering if anyone knew of or used any programs that you earned points from and redeemed them for free games and dlc and maybe other prizes etc...

i know that Chrono games and Tremor games used to be sites in the past used for this but no longer are working and wondering if there are any current ones

Also i did use a twitch site called hitsquadgodfather to also earn free games and didn't know if there were any more like it

thanks - https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/DxkyW/

Alienware new model goes that way: you get points by doing every day tasks (login, viewing a twitch channel, etc.) and their new "game vault" lets you redeem these points for a game once a month.
Be warned that it is a new system, they activated it a few hours ago, almost all keys are already gone for april.
For the record, they seem to keep the classic giveaways.

do you know any ways of earning apr on the site?

Of course :-)
There are multiple ways to earn ARPs. The most easy:

  • log in every day (there are rewards for each day, and for each consecutive day)
  • do the daily tasks (watch twitch - or idle it, of course - and the changing daily, which can be clicking on a social media button [no real social media action needed], replying to a forum thread, opening news section, etc.)
  • weekly steam quest, you just have to have recorded play time (1 hour) for the featured game(s) of the week. Usually 2 or 3 games (each one gives ARP), al least one is a free game that everyone can access.
  • once a month, the daily login reward is not ARP, but a "booster" that you keep for future activation. When you choose to activate it, your ARP earnings will be doubled for 48h. Best use of it, in my opinion, is to activate it on sunday afternoon : you can do the weekly steam quests (idle time - you can also prepare it during the week, so you have only a few minutes to add to each game playtime) with double points, same for daily twitch. Then the day after, monday, you have the new steam quests, so you can do it again. And you also have the tuesday morning to watch twitch with booster still active
    Hope it helps !

no, will be claimed with login, but their servers are slow recently and it can take several hours till you see the ARP credited

i call it the trash vault, keys were gone in minutes, like keys on Steelseries

To be fair: even with their new ARP 6.0 Alienware is still the leader of the pack compared to similar sites.

but they hadn't a DbD gib for ages, i think the last one was Hour of the Witch on Halloween, they had none for Portrait of a murder and their Sadako is pretty late, when Steelseries already had theirs 1,5 months ago

Don't start me with Steelseries: more often than not I find myself in the waiting room being bombarded with ads only to be informed later that all keys are gone already.

Of course everything I write is my personal perception: but if I'm on time for a giveaway I can get a key from Alienware relatively hassle-free.

Do you need an Alienware product to use it? Alienware is a peripheral company, isn't it?

Absolutely... NOT :-)
To my knowledge, Alienware makes high-end gaming PC. I build my PC myself since 25+ years so I never bought any hardware from them, and probably never will. They are a Dell brand. I don't know if they make standalone peripherals.

It's more consistent and gives you more options to just join a online survey community and get cash instead of just redeeming for games.

I reccomend Gametame, I got a few games in there after Tremor died. And stay away from Bananatic and Gamehag because those are pretty much scam sites.

I second this. This has been my experience too.

Gamehag is bad, they denied tasks I legitimately completed so many times I gave up on that site forever.

I did get some rewards from the site, but it's hit or miss getting a task approved if it's a miss it was a waste of time, and you get nothing.

For me the most pain in the gamehag was that they take away your points after small time of inactivity it's stupid. First they earn from you then steal the points ...

I abandoned doing anything on the site before the new system was implemented, waste of time.

the hitsquad god father twitch stream is up again - won't post the link but search it to earn free points to get free games (site is nothing to do with me - i just use it)

It is a shadow of its former self, you need to idle hundreds of hours for anything decent. Not recommended, it costs more in electricity bills than the time required to accrue. Also the things sold there are relatively inexpensive elsewhere.

There are plenty of sites that ask you to do tasks (join steam group, wishlist a game, follow a curator, etc) in exchange for crappy games (some of them drop cards)
check barter.vg giveaway section and remember that some keys might be from a shady source and you access those sites on your own risk
