How about Hidden Folks ? Looks like an interesting game that doesn't get as much exposure as it deserves. Although I guess 75 - 93k owners doesn't qualify as a completely hidden gem.

Yeah, I think that's where I first came across it after somebody posted it here on SteamGifts.
Apparently it (rightfully) got greenlit but then it felt like a lot of time passed without hearing anything new so I feared the project got cancelled. But apparently my memory is somewhat distorted since the Greenlight page says it was posted just a little more than a year ago.

I just had a look at the Greenlight page earlier and apparently it's 7 people in the core team (5 of which work on the game itself) and 4 more collaborating in the project. So that makes me even more optimistic about what they can accomplish as if they were only a 2 - 3 person team :)
Actually finding out this game still exists was such a pleasant surprise I immediately asked my buddies if it was too late to change my birthday wish and am going to preorder it from the Bud Spencer shop. I could have probably gotten it cheaper from Steam but the T-shirt it comes with looks so cool it sealed the deal for me. Haven't preordered a game since Assassins Creed Brotherhood. Hopefully I'm not going to regret it ^^

Either Undertale or Bastion. Undertale is cheaper and counts as non-bundled, so there's that.
Both burgers and pizza are pretty high on the list of awesome, but whether burgers are superior to pizza, I wouldn't dare say.
