I like Japanese donuts (Mister Donut and Jack in the Donuts) so much more than American ones. They have the perfect amount of subtle sweetness.

I find the thick icing ones to be too sweet. My fav is Tim Horton's Honey Cruller, otherwise mostly old fashioned glazed are what I go for.
