Just feeling a bit overworked after 2 moths back from 6 years of odd jobs and mild suffering as a poor. I've been lucky enough to start turning things around again and have indulged some wants in the realm of video game peripherals but haven't had much time for them as of late working full time. Maybe I just need to try and sleep more to eventually be able to shove more gaming in somewhere... In any case, I've got a treat for you this All Hallows' Eve: F A S T

Edit: Work(Study.)

Wait, which one of these options for those who work too much and don't have nearly enough time to play games?

Is there a bonus option for those who doesn't even get paid? :)

I'm playing at work. As a tester. It's not perfect, of course you don't choose the games and you have to play them in a specified way... But I really enjoy it and I don't fell like I need to play something at home :P Casual playing reserved for weekends.

I've always been curious as to how someone ends up as a tester of legitimate games. Where is that "listing" in the job search? I swear, with how easily I break games and typically know exactly why, I'd be exhausted from overworking and never getting the satisfaction to progress in a video game again.

The perfect tease.

You just look for a... "tester". Yep. The problem is that now people are paying for testing, I mean "early access", so a lot of studios don't even try to employ testers and it's not easy to find something. You may end up with a mandate contract, finish one game after a month and have to look for a job again. I was lucky, cause Keywords Studios opened a new place in my country - they're doing outsource testing and player support things.

I usually work too much and am too exhausted after work to do much more than clean, cook and game. I would love to do outdoor activities more but can barely even move some days.

I think like most of you and a lot of my coworkers are in that position too. It would really help if coworkers talked together about how to make workplaces less stressful, pay more and have more free time. Some countries have had debates over 28 or 30 hour work weeks, which means that wages would need to go up to survive.

My work pays a minimum wage, understaffs and overworks everyone there to exhaustion. We should band together and demand more staff on the floor, higher pay and more time off or we will refuse work and strike. Lots of industries do this too and that's why some are regarded higher than others.

I agree with a lot but also understand that in the states with the current state of things, folks aren't looking to make waves and many aren't willing to stick up for one another and or even compromise. Heaven forbid we come together as human beings to create a stable, functional, and emotionally healthy work environment. Instead we have to deal with occasional internal political bullshit that spikes any and all stress levels of the parties involved.

In any case, at least my co-workers don't suck. Only a couple are at the level of "mostly tolerable."
