Enough with the friggin zombie games!

Zombies make effective antagonists for the same reason that Nazis do: they're humans that you can feel good about shooting, because they're clearly evil. There's no moral gray area.

Also, the previously mentioned point that its easier to program for zombie AI is an excellent note. I'm sure that factors into things when it comes to smaller developer teams.

It's not JUST Zombies. Greenlight is 90% copies of other successful games. There is at least 400 minecraft clones, couple hundred platformer clones, weirdass anime games or other junk. I've voted on about 700 entries, and I've voted yes on about 10, favorited/followed 4, a few of the yes's were charities because despite being a bit poor, they were original and trying to be interesting.

Have you played Deadlight? it's awesome and its got zombies!!

Well, noone is forcing you to play zombie games.

Also, even with the high number of zombie games, we have yet to see a real good zombie survival game with scavenging, building bases and most importantly real feeling of danger. Day Z (got Arma during summersale) is pretty close, but the engine is still far from perfect. The feeling is great, but messed up melee combat system and bunchload of bugs is killing the game. Anyway I have my hopes directed towards Day Z standalone.

what about a game where you are a zombie, and have to run away from crazy people that want to hunt you?

Zombies are so last year. Now it's all about MOBA games.

Enough of the people complaining about zombie games!
