I tried that once and Amazon wouldn't accept it :\

There is not much you can do wrong in entering an address now, is there? ;p

Just use US adress McDonalds + google it postcode
Montana State don`t have sales tax.

I don't know if I know any trustworthy Americans. I usually don't check country when I hit it up with other gamers xD

http://www.fakenamegenerator.com/ - is what I used to create a name & address for amazon. It did randomly give me an address that incurred taxes when buying on there (certain states you do, some you don't) but I don't really mind as it isn't that much. I live in Ohio :)
Prior to that I had another amazon account registered to to the address of a Mcdonalds in Chicago. I set up a new email especially for it and ended up forgetting the log in details.

Thanks for the generator, I guess I can try that :)
Though if I really do need a bank card registered in the US that won't help me much ._.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well I didn't need a card like that, but it was a while back when I registered. Who knows? Things may have changed.
Btw, if you want to avoid the sales tax here is a list of the states where you would need to pay it, so you could pick somewhere else.
Comment has been collapsed.
Wow, that's like half of the states! I expected the list to be much shorter for some reason :o
Thanks a lot for the help! :)

It's because they are only required by law to charge sales tax in states where they have a physical presence. Ohio Just recently got added since they are building a data center in Columbus. (I Live in ohio...lol)
Not that state governments aren't trying to change this mind you.

please remove the referral part ( tag=... ) from the url
Edit: and you could also change the thread category from "General" to "Deals"
Comment has been collapsed.
yes it is.
Amazon urls have the "tag=..." parameter for the Amazon referral program, while the "ref=..." parameter in Amazon urls only points to previously visited or related sites.
It's not even new, here's a blog post from 2008 that explains how to turn any Amzon url into a referral link by simply adding the "tag=..." parameter:

it's not about what I want

That, or people can just follow the "don't post referral links" rule from the site and avoid a suspension. Letting someone know that he's breaking the rules isn't a bad thing AFAIK.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, its a common theme with some people. Push the boundaries, get told about the rules, remove the offending part and carry on. And then do it again another time "forgetting" about the rule, get told about it by a different person, remove the offending part and so on. I don't think support has the time to follow up on these types of things as long as someone complies as soon as told about it even if it happens multiple times.

Maybe cg should implement some sort of URL filtering that automatically strips the referral part for most common links.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes offcourse i did it on purpose because supposedly epicbundle is my site and i have alot of stakes to try and put refs in my link (not really). Same goes for support handling tickets about trolls that like to bash certain people they just don't have the time for that.
Comment has been collapsed.
Whoa whoa whoa, slow down there guy. I never said anything about you and never said anything about Epic Bundle. (How does one discern it came from Epic Bundle anyways?)
It was a statement about the nature of people in general and a common theme around here at times with ref links.
No need to get so defensive, unless of course you have reason to. Chill.
Comment has been collapsed.
You are specifically replying on someone asking me to remove a ref piece, a ref piece that was about epic bundle (because i got the link there and it wasn't a "real" ref) plus considering your past making snide remarks in topics i post, offcourse it was a statement about people in general. But yes i absolutely don't have any reason to be at all.
Since this deal is over i am closing it, unless you want a final saying.

Thanks! Might wanna get rid of the ref part of that link, though. Just the "?tag=epicb-20" at the end.

two of them in all is a great deal, and you can save a lot of cash
but then again its up to personal preferences

The Sega Megadrive was my first so it's always intresting to find out about consoles before my time like the Virtual Boy or the Vectrex.
Comment has been collapsed.
Never had a virtual boy but the vectex is great, we had one when i was 4 in 1984.
Was my very first computer, and you have these colored layouts that you put over the screen.
There was even a 3d set (which go on ebay now for like 2-300 euro) and a drawing pen which also goes for gold on ebay. Had to rebuy a vectrex again to regain it, stuff like that still working after 35 years while most new age consoles stop working after a few years, go figure.
They might be rare unless you live in the netherlands/uk/germany i guess.
Also have a mega/sega cd, but no cartridges really (since you can't play yours... ;) :p). All that crap is just taking alot of closet spaces lol. Don't they just sell a power supply loose on ebay?
Comment has been collapsed.
Yea, one of the sites I came across when I googled it earlier was a forum where a guy was selling quality overlays he made but he retired around 2012 and people were pretty much offering to blow him if he came out of retirement or had any leftovers. :D
I kind of blame the EU and all their overregulation for that... 20 years ago electronic devices may have had lead or similar things in them but if you took good care of them they would last for decades while nowadays planned obsolescence strikes after 3 years.
I wonder what's better for the environment...
I'm sure they do but I haven't really gotten into the whole ebay thing yet. ^^ Also my sisters boyfriend claims he has one lying around in the celler but he's kind of collector and picks up tons of old records and other stuff at flea markets so I doubt he would find it.
To be honest I doubt I would play often anyway since it's stashed in my parents house on the countryside but since it was my first contact with video games and was still in working condition when I last tried it a few years ago it still stings a little.

OK, so I overcame the problem with US card requirement (yet not sure how it is viewed by the US law). I just created fake Visa card with generator, clicked 'buy' and when information about invalid credit card details popped up, I entered my actual card as the alternate payment method. Worked like charm.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's weird since they would need to check the address with the card company anyway.
I also got my payment declined, updated address but didn't work.

I have an emu and all the roms for free. But, this is a great deal. If it wasn't forcing me to use my gift card balance, which I don't want to do, I'd buy it and give it away. Stupid Amazon.

great find, bought it
seems to work just fine from Hungary without having to use any VPN and with fake US billing adress

Sega Classic Pack
Also Sonic Collection Sonic Hits Collection $9.04
Apparently they restocked a few codes, but it's already out of stock again.
So you might want to keep checking to see if they restock more keys or not.
