Not sure if the GeForce ProGamer setup from PCDiy is worth the $1600

It's a PDF and is safe

Suggestions are more than welcome :-)

The one at 1149 is enough.

But if you build it yourself, it should be cheaper.

I got an AMD fx 8core 8320 3.5

kingston 8 gb ram

big ass cooler master fan

Think i got the same mobo.

And i dont remember the brand of the PSU but it was 650 w

I already had the hdds and i recycled my old graphics card.

It was roughly 600$. 200-250 more to get the graphics card and im all set.

The I5 is more powerful than the amd i have or the next one (4.0 ghz), but it is enough processing power for the current games.

I was leaning to the pricier one Cus I liked the ssd, gtx770 and cooler but do I need any of those extras/upgrades?

Never had an SSD but im pretty sure it depends more on the graphics than the hdd speed. I mean sure, its faster, but 500 bucks? Thats more than half of my own pc, not worth it. But if you are rich, i guess it doesnt matter.

Thanks :) yeah I still need to consider the cost of an operating system too. I really like those digital storm pcs but the the cost of shipping is a let down. They basically sell the same PC for 400 bucks cheaper

Well, about the OS...... I have seen some dudes selling w7 retal for pennies at steamtrades, and it seems like they are legit codes. Might want to check them out, but they post from time to time.

They mostly steal them from their offices. Codes should work and probably won't get voided, but yeah.

As having no experience building a PC should I be able to build one from those YouTube guides considering the build they use is differentnto mine?

Yes. Just make sure that the cpu and the memory is compatible. the cpu you can see that if it is compatible with the socket type.

The memory with the frequency.

most of those guides will work fine. all of the parts are pretty standard anyways.

I like watching build guides from NewEgg, LinusTechTips, and CareyHolzman myself.

That config adds a lot of unuseful pats like the soundcard, also adds extreme expensive parts like the case and too cheap parts like the RAM. Search a PC forum and ask for a configuration with your budget, they will give you better results than this, even with less budget.

I would suggest you to go do this build instead...

the pc packages on your link are too overpriced and everything that is good has those useless sound blaster sound cards that cost alot but does the same as what the onboard can already do (that's why it's there). If you want better sound then get an external DAC (Digital Audio Converter).

If you can build it on your own, I'd recommend something like this

I tried that but somehow I ended up with a price tag of $1800 using the baseline build from here http://www.maximumpc.com/build_pc_recommended_builds_april_2014

PCPartPicker gives you the list of which sites have the lowest prices on the item
